A/N: This is start of a better version of what I gave you guys.
Prologue:
Twelve years ago, a nine-tailed fox attacked the village hidden in the leaves. Like a force of nature, it attacked with no discrimination. All seemed lost, for the nine-tails had escaped the grasp of the fourth, but then three shinobi rose to the challenge. The Spirits of Konohagakure, the shinobi trained to subdue the nine-tails by Kushina Uzumaki herself. They fought the fox back towards the seal where a young child would be it's prison, but it once again tried to escape. That was when another beast arrived, the twelve-tailed Yatagarasu. It subdued the fox and allowed the third Hokage to seal the fox within a young boy…..
Present Day:
Several jonin, including Kakashi, Kurenai, Asuma, and Guy, stood before Minato, the fourth Hokage.
"I assume you all know why you are here?" He asked.
"The chunin exams?" Kakashi asked.
"Indeed. Will all those who plan to nominate their team please approach." Minato said. Kakashi, Kurnai, Asuma, and Guy all approached.
"I Kakashi Hatake, nominate Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno."
"I, Asuma Sarutobi, nominate Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akamichi, and Ino Yamanaka."
"I, Kurenai Yuhi, nominate Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame, and Hinata Hyuga."
"Wait a minute." Someone said. Minato tilted his head to see Iruka.
"Yes, what is it Iruka?"
"Lord Hokage I must object. Those nine, however skillful they may be, are not ready. They only graduated less than three months ago."
"Perhaps Iruka is right." Guy said. "Even I made my students wait a year before entering."
"With all do respect Iruka, their not your students, their mine." Kakashi said. Minato gave a nervous smile and waved his hands.
"Now, now, no need to let tempers fly. I'll decide later if their ready." He said. "Now, Guy, if you will." Guy nodded.
"I, Might Guy, nominate Neji Hyuga, Rock Lee, and Tenten." He said.
Minato nodded and then scanned the room.
"Um, has anyone seen…."
Then there was a puff of black smoke and then a man appeared. His messy black hair tangled over his leaf headband. His eyes were yellow and dull. He wore a black trench over the standard jonin uniform, and the symbol for will was on his back.
"I apologize for my lateness, Minato-sensei." He said with a bow.
"That's all right, Daisuke. Please proceed." Minato said.
"Keep in mind, the team will include the one that joined them from outside the village." Daisuke said. Minato nodded and motioned for him to continue. "I, Daisuke Karasu, nominate Mito, Yakumo Kurama, and Haku Yuki."
'She still only uses her first name.' Minato thought.
"Very well. This will conclude the meeting. Dismissed." Minato said. The jonin proceeded to leave, but Minato spoke up.
"Daisuke wait…"
"She'll be fine, Minato-sensei. Her being in the same place as Naruto shouldn't be a problem. I assure you." Diasuke said as he left.
Minato let out a sigh and thought.
'I hope so.'
