A/N: I was inspired to write this after seeing Iron Man 3 Tuesday night. Tony makes the comment that they've already gone over not leaving the house and I had to write this, hope you all enjoy.

"Are you completely out of your mind!" Pepper yells as the engine shuts off, her face twisted in anger.

Tony flinches behind the wheel before opening the door, plastering a large smile on his face, "Hi honey," He grins, trying to charm her. The smile falls quickly when Pepper remains unaffected. His face then puckers slightly in confusion when he notices her attire is not what she had worn for work that morning nor is she dressed for around the house. "Going somewhere?" he asks, hoping to change the subject.

"You gave our address to a terrorist!" Pepper continues on as if he hadn't spoken. "Tony-"

"I-"

"I told you not to talk to the press when I left."

Tony cringes at the memory from earlier this morning at the hospital. Pepper had kissed him goodbye, leaving for work and warning him of the mob that had formed shortly after their arrival.

"They goaded me," Tony argues defensively. "They expect me to do something about this."

"This is the stupidest thing you have ever done," Pepper tells him, turning on her heel and moving up the stairs.

"Where are you going?" Tony shouts, following after her.

Without stopping, Pepper shouts back "We're leaving."

"What?" Tony calls flabbergasted, chasing her around the corner and up the flight of stairs to their room.

"We can't stay here," Pepper argues moving through the bedroom.

"I can protect you here."

"We'd be safer in Virginia," Pepper counters emerging from the closet with two bags.

"Virginia?! I don't have anything in Virginia that can protect you." Tony panics when she throws the bags on the bed, his chest constricting at the thought of being without his suits. "Wait," he pleads, grabbing her at the wrist to keep her from packing. "I know what I'm doing, I've got a plan okay," he bluffs, hoping she doesn't see through his bullshit. "We're safe here," he promises, steamrolling her effort to talk. "Just trust me, I'll protect you." He kisses her on the cheek quickly, releases her wrists and retreats from the room.

"Tony," Pepper calls, her retort fading off as he disappears from sight. Shaking her head with a sigh Pepper moves back to the closet and begins to pack.

A/N: In my mind they were probably going to have to leave the state to be safe as I assumed the press in California might follow them given that Tony has threatened a terrorist. I also took into account that she packed very little considering they might be able to come back for months, now they both have enough money that they could just buy more clothes and whatever else they might need but to me it made more sense they might be going somewhere where they already have stuff. I chose Virginia because in the comics Tony has a house in Virginia and New York is obviously out of the question.

Hope you guys enjoyed, please review :)
