"Shit." With a loud thud, Genshi fell from the comfort of his bed, taking his blanket with him. "I could just sleep like this too." Burying his face into the carpet, he attempted to drift back to sleep, but found it far too uncomfortable. As he stood up, he cocooned himself in his blanket, wrapping it around him tightly.
As he prepared to lose himself in the comfort of his own sheets, a voice came from downstairs. "Genshi! Get up, you need to eat breakfast. You have the entrance exam today!" Groaning, Genshi threw his blankets forcefully, desperately wanting to be asleep. Finding the light switch on the wall, he instinctively squinted his eyes as he turned on the lights. Moving his wavy black hair from his eyes, he made his way to the large vanity mirror that he kept next to his window. Pulling aside the curtains, he let the natural light hit his olive skin as he inspected himself in the mirror. Aside from the dark circles under his eyes, he didn't see anything wrong. His hair was still the shaggy mess that it always was, that wasn't changing. Shrugging, he decided he was fine and began to head downstairs.
"What time is it?" Genshi's monotone voice made his father look up from the stove where he was cooking. "It's still dark outside."
Flicking his wrist, Gazou Joutai turned back to the sizzling bacon as a holographic list appeared in front of his son. "There's the list of what we're going to do before your exam. As you can see, 5:30 a.m. we will eat a healthy breakfast."
Gazou Joutai
Quirk:Photographic Memory
Gazou can project anything he has seen or has a memory of in the form of a hologram.
Looking over the list, he noticed that there was something for every ten minutes up until his entrance exam for Uchu Academy. Uchu Academy was one of many academies that were known for producing excellent Pro Heroes. Was it anywhere near the likes of U.A? No. But it had it's own perks. At least, that's what Genshi hoped. Pushing the hologram, he watched as it dispersed into nothingness. Taking a seat at the dinner table, he looked over all of the plates of food that were spread about. Gazou finished the meal choices off by placing the bacon lightly on a plate. "Eat up, Gen-Gen, you need to be ready for the day." Taking a few spoonfuls of eggs, Genshi began to quietly make his meal.
"I'm proud of you, you know?" Gazou gave a small smile to his son, who gave a slight nod. "Even if you don't get in, I'm still proud that you gave your all." Biting down on a piece of bacon, Genshi looked up at his father, who had begun to lightly cry. "You've taken everything so much better than I have, and I'm so glad that you haven't let it all affect you." Wiping his eyes, Gazou put his hand on his son's shoulder. "You've been much stronger than I have."
Genshi smiled at his father, who often had emotional displays such as this. "Thanks, Dad." You're strong too. You've managed to handle all of my troubles even without Mom. You didn't need her like you thought you did. Looking back at his plate, he quickly ate the food on his plate, feeling his appetite suddenly kick in. Filling up his plate a second time, he ate as fast as he could. Sniffling, Gazou wiped his face with his arm as he smiled at his son, his lip quivering ever so slightly.
"Well, better hurry up, you've only got two minutes left to eat before we start our run." Genshi perked up at the news as he began to shovel the food into his face, causing his dad to erupt with laughter. That's my boy. After changing into his signature red crop-top, and putting on a pair of skinny jeans, Genshi met Gazou outside of the house. "You know, skinny jeans and dress shoes aren't good exercise clothes." Genshi shrugged as his neon-green eyes lulled over his father's bright blue jumpsuit. "Besides, what's going on with your hair?! You don't look presentable at all!" Gazou attempted to rake his hands through his son's hair, but found that he couldn't make it through the thick mass. Grunting, he turned as he began to run, with Genshi following close behind him. "As a hero, you need to build up your speed and your endurance. The two must be in balance with each other. It's no good if you can blitz around for only a few moments." Genshi ran close beside his father as he was given advice. He was expected to run at least two miles within this ten minutes. It would be a stretch, but he could do his best.
Gazou remembered the day that his son told him that he was trying to get accepted into Uchu Academy. It was the same school that he had gone to, so of course he was as excited as he could be for his son. At the time, he wondered why his son wasn't trying for U.A like other students might, but he realized that his son didn't care about being at the best of the best like other students might. From then on, he trained his son every chance he got, to prepare him for what was to come. "Keep up, Dad." Genshi's monotone voice broke Gazou from his thoughts, causing him to catch up to his son. From there on, the next two hours were filled with a heavy training regimen to make sure that Genshi was ready for the exam.
Taking a sweat towel, Genshi wiped his glistening face. He felt heat through every part of his body, taking a deep breath in as he changed out of his sweaty clothes. Changing into a similar outfit from before, he prepared to leave. Almost tripping and falling down the stairs, Genshi managed to catch himself at the last second. Stepping into the kitchen, he saw Gazou with a caramel brown beverage. He didn't know if it was a smoothie or a shake, but it was thick.
"Drink this, it'll help you have a little bit more energy. I always drank them before training." Genshi reluctantly took the drink in hand, and sucked on the straw. The drink itself was extremely sweet, and it caused him to feel like he had been rejuvenated despite all of the training. "Don't drink more than one a day though. . . it'll get bad if you do."
Genshi let out a low laugh as he took another sip of the drink. Taking a look at his phone, he quickly made his way to the door. "I've got to go! I'll be late!" Gazou gave a sly smile as he watched his son's rushing figure leave the residence.
"Good luck, Gen-Gen. I know you'll make me proud." Gazou turned his back to the door as he poured himself a glass of his energy drink. "If she was here, you'd make your mother proud too." With a slight scowl, he headed to his room to prepare for work. It's her loss. She gave up seeing you become all you could be.
As Genshi arrived at the entrance of Uchu Academy, he took a second to take in all of the scenery of the massive academy. It's dark black and red colours were far different from the light pink weeping cherry trees that were scattered around the campus. He could tell there were a number of training grounds farther into the campus. Size wise, Uchu Academy rivaled U.A, but Uchu was known for having smaller class sizes. It wasn't much of a smaller class size, but it was still a difference.
Avoiding the massive influx of students who were pouring into the large black doors of the school, Genshi made his way through himself, struggling to not be pushed around. He may have been taller than most, but he wasn't as strong as most, so he was easily pushed around. "Azumi must already be inside." As he walked into the large auditorium where all other students sat, he looked for his close friend. Although, lost in the sea of faces, he settled for sitting at the very top of the auditorium. As the lights turned off, his black hair slowly began to emanate a neon-purple glow.
Students whispered among themselves as the darkness seemed to thicken, however, they all became quiet as a light flashed on in the middle of the large room. "Good morning, welcome to Uchu Academy!" On the center of the stage, a man with thick pink mist in the place of hair clapped his hands. "My name is Kasumi Iten, although, you may all know me by my Hero Name, 'Pink Port'!" Twirling around, Kasumi stretched his arms outward in a showy fashion. Unlike what he expected to happen, Kasumi was greeted by silence. "Right, well, let's get on to the information."
Clicking on a small buzzer, a number of screens descended on the stage. "As you all know, before the practical exam, you will all be taking a written exam. However, the part that you all hear so much about is afterwards." Clicking the small buzzer again, information appeared on screen. "During the practical exam, you have two goals. The first, apprehend any villains you come across. Attempt to apprehend as many as possible. However, your second goal involves a portion of being a Hero that some can forget." Reaching into a small bin beside him, he pulled out a small child shaped doll. "You will be keeping this doll, meant to represent an injured citizen, safe from any further harm as you make your way towards the center of your test site." Placing the doll back in the bin, Kasumi turned back to the audience. "The test will end when everyone has made their way to the center of the site, or, when time runs out."
Genshi slowly began to feel his attention fade away from the speaker, and began to stare out into nothingness as Kasumi began to discuss rules. This is going to be a long day.
So so, before rules, how's about I give a small explanation of Uchu Academy. Uchu Academy is the third best Hero Academy in Japan, surpassed by Shiketsu High and U.A High. Uchu has a class size of 16 students per homeroom every year, never taking more. Uchu has only a slightly better acceptance rate than the two previously mentioned schools. Uchu employs a dorm system, with each student having their own room in the dorm building. The dorm buildings are split up by class, such as the 1-A Dormitory, the 1-B Dormitory, and so on and so forth. Males take up the right side of the buildings, females take up the left side. There is an included kitchen, living room, and game room in every building. There is also an indoor pool in every dormitory.
At Uchu, Hero Course Students are put through the essentials of all Hero Academies. This includes classes for combat, rescue, proper apprehension, and more. Uchu also makes sure to teach it's Hero Course students legal statuses of what they can and can not do, and when they should or should not act on something.
Without further interruption, let's get on to rules!
Rules:
1)No Mary Sues/No Gary Sues. Simple there.
2)Please try to keep the Quirks original.
3)I'm not taking anything other than Hero Course Students. Sorry :P
4)I'm only accepting a total of 14 characters for Class 1-A. Any extra characters that I like enough will end up as supporting characters in 1-B.
5)Send a character as, "Class 1-A [Character Name]". Like so, "Class 1-A Genshi Joutai".
6)I will not accept resends. Please, make a new character. I don't want a character that is doing something completely different in another story.
7)Listen to any rules I have in the form.
8)To make sure that you read the rules, tell me your prediction of what you think Genshi's Quirk is.
9) Deadline for characters is April 29th, 12:00 AM EST. Best of luck, can't wait to see the characters!
10)I will only accept characters made with this specific form and through PM.
11) I will only accept Japanese OCs from now on.
BASIC
Name:(Simple stuff here, Please do it in format of First Name-Last Name.)
Nickname/Alias:(They got anything that they are called? Anything they would rather go by? This isn't where Hero Name goes. )
Hero Name:(Standard Stuff, have it relate to them in some way. This could be based on how they look, what they stand for, or what their Quirk does.)
Gender:(I'm down with anything)
Sexuality:(Again, down with anything.)
Age & Birthday:(As a first year, they must be 14-15, unless you give me a damn good reason for them to be for birthday, keep it to a Month-Day format. Don't worry about year.)
Nationality:(Go Crazy)
Ethnicity:(Go Stupid)
APPEARANCE (I'll repeat it multiple times. Extremely drastic things should be linked to their Quirk. I will only allow one or two cases like Tokoyami, where they have a wild appearance that has nothing to do with their Quirk. But it must be because of family related stuff.)
Height & Weight: (Please put height in feet'inches" format and weight in pounds. Please make sure they match each other. You can not be 6'5" and 95 lbs. Unless, of course, Quirk somehow allows for this. Anything extreme here should be because of a Quirk. )
Hair Colour: (Go as crazy or as normal as you want. Want them to have only a single streak of hair that is the colour of a rainbow, and then have literally no other hair? Go right ahead. I want to see what crazy things I can get. Does their Quirk affect their hair colour? Tell me!)
Hair Length & Style: (How long is their hair? Do they keep it up in a bun at all times? Do they keep it styled in some special way? I'm not going to accept replications of hair style here, so try to make it unique. Is their hair the way it is because of their Quirk? Tell me!)
Eye Colour:( Is their entire eye, sclera and all, black? Is their pupil a special shape? Are their irises different colours? Tell me here! Again, anything quirk related, please tell me about it.)
Voice: (How do they talk? What do they sound like? Just their mannerisms, accents, those sort of things here.)
Skin tone: (I mean, just as long as you keep it to human skin tones(Unless Quirk gives a reason). Are they as dark as the endless void? Are they as white as snow?)
Body Type:( Are they muscular? Are they skeletal? Are they busty? Pretty simple stuff here, just give me a description of their body here. If you are submitting a female and wish to, you can include a cup size here as well. I really don't know how many times I'm going to mention it, it's not some focal point of characters. [I feel like I am setting up someone sending a character that has a Quirk linked to their chest now.] Please mention any bodily piercings here.)
Facial Description:(How is their face shaped? Is it chiseled? Is it round? Is it sharp? That stuff. What are their lips like? Thin? Plump? Is their nose petite? Large? Are their ears somewhat pointy? Small? These sort of things should go here. Also, please mention any facial piercings here.)
Markings: (This is anything from scars to birthmarks. Just marks that are lasting on their body essentially.)
Casual Outfit: (What is their normal outfit outside of class? Please don't give me a specific set of clothes, but rather, a general description of the types of clothes they wear. They can be as cool or as bland as you want. Just...make it at least partially school appropriate. Just a little at least, please. I'm begging here.)
Uniform Style or Alterations:(First off, let me just say, if they have a Mutation type Quirk, they will of course have accommodations made for them.
So, Male Uniforms include a black long sleeved dress shirt(That can be rolled up/cuffed and buttoned to stay rolled up) with two small school emblems on the collar of the shirt, a white formal vest(Three button style, with the preferred method being two buttons always being buttoned), a red blazer with the school insignia on the right side of the chest, along with black or dark grey pants. All students wear a white tie with their outfit.
Female Uniforms include a black long sleeved dress shirt with two small school emblems on the collar, red blazer with the school insignia on the right side of the chest, white tie, and a mid-thigh to knee length(Student's choice.) with the school's red and black colours.)
Hero Outfit:(Hero Outfits normally help the hero to cover their weaknesses, enhance their strengths, that sort of thing. Be as creative as you want with these, but at the same time, don't make a Hero Outfit that makes them invulnerable in every way as well as makes them the strongest person in the world. Outfits don't do that.)
Accessories: (Do they have any form of accessories they wear? Any bracelets, necklaces, rings, things like that.)
PERSONAL
Backstory: ( At least 200 words here. Please stay unique here, and please, everyone, don't try to make your character the Sasuke of this story. I don't want a bunch of edgelords running around cutting their own existence out because of their own edginess.)
Family: (This could be blood related or just someone they consider close enough to be family. Include their name, age, relation, some stuff about their personality and appearance, you know, that sort of thing.)
Personality: (At least 300 words here. I want it detailed, I want it beautiful, I want it unique. Make me pikachu gasp jpeg at it.)
Alignment: (Please be sure of this. And trust me, I love Chaotic Neutrals with my entire soul, but not too many of them, please.)
Likes: (Basic Stuff)
Dislikes: (Basic Stuff)
Habits:(These can be bad, they can be weird, they can be funny, but come on, at least give them one. Everyone has at least one habit. One of mine is that I move and do my actions to the tune and rhythm of whatever music I am listening to)
Hobbies:(At least one.)
Fears:(Basic Stuff, at least one here, everyone is scared of something. I'm scared of the ocean. Fuck the ocean. Fuck everything about that slippery bastard.)
Secrets:(Again, at least one. We all have secrets. All of us.)
Quotes:(You know, something to give me a little bit of insight into your character. At least 5 quotes.)
QUIRK
Quirk Name:(This can be really basic, this can be eloquent, whatever your want.)
Quirk Type:(Emitter, Transformation, or Mutant. No, there will be no hybrids of Emitter and Mutant, or Mutant and Transformation, or of all three. One type. Also, no All for One or One for All copies. You can do something like Monoma, sure, but nothing like either of the previously mentioned two.)
Application/Effects:(Nicely put, what does their Quirk do? How does it function, what are it's uses, that sort of thing.)
Ultimate Moves/Moves:(Future Ultimate Moves and any just regular moves they have)
Strengths:(What are the pros of their Quirk? Must have at least three, must be equal to or less than weaknesses.)
Weaknesses:(What are the cons of their Quirk? Must have at least three, must be equal to or greater than strengths.)
STATS (Alright, listen up. You are not allowed to max out everything. I don't care, you can't. I require at least one low stat(As in 1-2). You are not allowed to make your character a 6/5 yourself. I decide those things. Rank your characters 1 to 5 for each stat. I also split up the Power stat, as so many are often confused by it. Before, Power referred to destructive power as a whole. Now, it is split up to Physical Power and Quirk Power. I believe those two are more obvious. However, with Quirk Power, while the Quirk itself may be massively powerful, Quirk Power also refers to how much of a mastery and how much control they have over their Quirk. You have 18 points to spread out between these 6 stats. Choose Wisely.)

What do they plan to do as a hero?:
Thoughts on the Uchu Academy?:
Thoughts on themselves?:
Thoughts on Genshi?:
Love Interest/Type?:(What type of people do they do the best with in a romantic relationship/what do they look for in a romantic partner? If they don't want a romantic relationship, that's completely understandable! Relationships aren't all there is to look forward to in life!)
Recommendation or Entrance Exam?:(I will only allow up to 4 students that got in through Recommendations. Make sure to tell who recommended them. And no, no canon heroes can be the person who recommended them.)
Extra:(This is just for anything that I forgot to put, just put it here.)
