Warning: This poem contains one use of strong language.

Alone and frightened,
Nobody around
Except the zombies –
I hit the ground
When a Hunter appears,
I reach for the gun,
The monster lunges
I think I'm done,
It misses by inches –
I fire two rounds
Hit it mid-jump
It falls to the ground.

Breathing so heavily
I glance behind me
For Boomers or Smokers
A normal one I see
Just walking slowly
I fire at it
Miss, hit a car
I think, "Oh shit!"
I wait silently
For the alarms to sound
The horde to attack me
Hunt me like hounds
But the street stays silent
I get up from where I lie
To carry on forward
To survive, or die.

So there it is - my first attempt at a poem! Tell me if you liked it or not, since I probably won't write any more unless this gets good reviews.
By the way, feel free to check out my other fanfiction, The Nether, any time you want to! You know you want to.
You know it.
If you sneezed in this video bless you. Peace off! BOOP!
(By the way, I love anyone who gets that reference)
