Okay. This is my first attempt to write a fan fiction. I hope I do this right. I just finished reading the Hunger Games because my little sister made me, and because the sequel is coming out shortly. It was a great book and I only hope that when I write this that both of the authors that my writing is based from will not be too disappointed. With that being said, here we go…..

I have only read both Twilight and the Hunger Games once, so please if I get something too off, tell me.

****Disclaimer**** I do not own either Twilight or the Hunger Games….

Chapter One: Encounters

Bella's Point of View:

As the wind wove furiously through the small shrubs that surround the blacked tarred roads that showed us ways to get from point A to point B and the angry thick water droplets threw themselves against the window that I was staring out at, I couldn't help but take it as a sign that it was not going to be one of the best days here in District twelve.

Then again any sign, weather, or expression would only reflect the feelings that are buried and hidden from the peacekeepers by the hoards of people in this area are going through.

In less then a week, well two days to be exact, the capitol that controls all twelve districts that once stood together under freedom and liberty, will be hosting a death match that they, only the people who live in the Capitol, find entertaining, a game. The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games were made when the Districts rebelled against the Capitol eighty or something years ago. Along with the games, the leaders of the twelve districts had to sign a peace treaty of sorts.

The Hunger Games is when two children from ages twelve to eighteen, both from different sexes, one male and one female are chosen out of a glass bowl in which they must put their name in every year. When you buy extra tesserae, wheat grains, oil, anything needed to survive, you have to put your name in the drawing again.

Sighing, I put all thoughts of the Hunger Games away for the time being and turned from the living room window that looked out over the ashy coal dust air outside.

"Bella come on we are going to be late!" An annoyed voice yelled to me. I turned to see my little brother Seth tugging his arms into the deep grey jacket that was much too small for his growing frame.

I really must see if either Mike or Jacob had an extra jacket that Seth could have, it was much too cold out for my young brother to walk around the streets with half of his arms hanging out of the ends of the fabric, thank goodness the toughest weather is gone, and the sun is presenting its self to us more often then the overcastting clouds.

"I'm coming, I'm coming. Did you feed the animals?" I asked out routine and not really out for the knowledge of the answer. Seth absolutely adored anything that was alive and that he was able, well, more like allowed to care for.

Seth grinned up at me and nodded in which I smiled back, took his hand and walk out from the small two bedroom house and into the stormy weather, shielding Seth as much as I can from the cool water.

Finally we reached the school grounds and ran our separate ways. Seth going to his building where all the year twelve's studied and I ran to the last building on campus for year eighteens such as myself.

As I stepped into the crowded classroom I noticed the small, almost unreadable, scribbled writing across the black slated board in the front of the room.

Hunger Games

Great. Today we seemed to be going over the past Hunger Games.

So is it worth me writing the rest of the story? I think I have an okay plot in my head, but I want all of your opinions in the matter. Please tell me what you think; I will give you a cookie if you review! Haha.
