"Be a good role model for your siblings and cousins, Victoire." Why can't I rebel, just once?

"Lighten up a bit, Molly, won't you?" Just because I'm reserved doesn't mean I'm not happy.

"Look at how diligently Lucy works." I'm a Hufflepuff. We all work hard, not just me!

"Come on, Dominique, just give me one more try!" What if I don't want to?

"You remind me so much of your namesakes, James." I wish Mum and Dad hadn't named me James Sirius.

"Are you sure that's wise, Roxanne?" Maybe not, but if it isn't I'll suffer the consequences later, and learn the lesson while doing it.

"Why do you spend so much time with your sister and cousins, Fred?" Because I actually like hanging around them, unlike you apparently. Besides, have you forgotten that my girlfriend is also in my group?

"I don't understand what do you see in guys, Louis." More than I see in girls, obviously.

"So Albus, which do you like better: Quidditch or Astronomy?" Why can't I like two different things?

"You're the perfect mixture of both of your parents, Rose." Yeah, but I'm also me, in case you had forgotten.

"You're Hugo, right?" No, I'm Lucy.

"You're Lily, the Slytherin." Why must people be classified by their Houses?

"Of course."

"I'll try."

"Thank you."

"Fine."

"Just trying to live up to their legacy."

"You're right. We'll try it another time"

"Because without me they'd be lost."

"Pity."

"At this exact moment I'm not sure."

"Did I get their flaws or their good points?"

"Yeah."

"So you've heard of me."

I don't like hearing what you say

I appease you to make it go away

But I know it'll be back, someday

Twelve very different people. A mediwitch, a Charms Mistress, a librarian, a Quidditch commentator, joke shop employees and managers, an Astronomy Master, a wand maker, a broomstick designer, and a would-be inventor. Yet the same thought runs through all of their heads at comments like these: Mind your own business and go away.
