"Her name is Hannah she's in my statistics class. I've also had lunch with her a couple times. She's pretty awesome."
"Oh okay thanks."
"And?"
"And what?"
"Come on Sean! We were supposed to set each other up on dates; not just me finding someone for you! Plus you already told me you found someone so spill!"
"Yeah I thought I had but I don't know…"
"Sean I don't care who it is! It could literally could be almost anybody and I'd gladly have a meal and see a movie with them. I just want to go on a date! And anyways I trust you. If you're first thought was he'd be a good pick for me I'm sure he's amazing!"
"His name is Todd. He's my roommate's cousin. Very well mannered, good looking I guess."
"Todd? I have always liked that name! I wonder if that's some sort of sign?"
"A sign of what exactly Sue?"
"That was meant to be? I at first thought it was a bit strange to set each other up on dates, but I realized we know one another better than nearly anyone and being of the opposite sex and not related gave an unique insight into this. Now you set me up with someone with a name I've loved since I first saw The Fox In The Hound?! It feels like fate!"
"I mean sure whatever. I haven't asked or anything by the way."
"Wait, what why not? Aren't we supposed to go out tomorrow? I already set it up with Hannah."
"Like I said I'm not so sure anymore. About any of this."
"If you're worried about getting your heart hurt by Hannah I won't worry! Granted I don't know her that well but I'm confident she won't do that. I really do think you two would be adorable by the way!"
"I'm not afraid of being hurt by Hannah. I'm sure she's great. It's just…"
"What Sean? Are you afraid I'll get hurt by Todd?"
"No. He seems like a really great guy."
"Ok then! So what exactly is the problem?"
"You're right there isn't one. I'll call him right now."
"Come on Sean don't lie to me! Like I said I know you better than almost anybody! Now tell me what's going on, why the hesitation?"
"I am afraid of getting my heart broken."
"Really Sean I won't fret about Hannah she …"
"By Todd. I'm afraid of getting my heart broken by Todd."
"I don't understand."
"I'll have to sit there and watch this great well mannered, good looking, legal student, did I mention he's in law school? Guy with seemingly the perfect name on a date with the woman of my dreams and of course you two will hit it off and get married and…"
"What did you say?"
"You two will end up getting married."
"No before that."
"That Todd is in law school?"
"Arg! No the part about you being in love with me. Are you?"
"Yeah. I mean how could I not be?"
"Why didn't you say anything? Why did you have me set you up on a date?!"
"I was scared. I was trying to deny these feelings. I thought maybe I was seeing things that weren't there. But the more I pictured you with Todd, or anyone, the more I realized I wanted that honor. No one else is good enough for my Susie Q."
"Wow. I um I like you too. And the idea of you and Hannah honestly it was making me I don't know jealous? And you haven't even met yet! Then I feel bad because she is really sweet."
"I'm sure she's great. Wait… I got an idea!"
"Yeah?"
"Todd's great, Hannah's great why don't they go out on Friday with us as a double date?"
"Us on a date?"
"I think it's the next step. Unless you…"
"Oh I want to! But yeah just a little bit nervous."
"Me too. I'm sure we'll figure it out. I better see if Todd is ok with this."
"Yeah and I should tell Hannah about this little detour. God you really like me?!"
"I really do Susie Q."
