An Introductory Back Story
Chapter 1
Five years ago...
"Commander are you sure you want to do this? Your going deep into zero territory" the captain Reasoned
"If I don't do this millions will die! Now help me move this ammo" Rex responded while doing the final preparations for the mission.
This... This was the most dangerous mission I've ever done and the one that turned me into the man I am today. This was operation "Titanfall", the objective of the mission was to find Sarah Kerrigan and try to capture her alive. Me and my squad "The Blazing Spear" was tasked with the mission. Ya I know that blazing spears isn't exactly a good name but one day when me and the squad were hanging out and had a little to much to drink we all decided on it and it turns out you can't change the name once you've decided.
Any way me and my squad were doing the final preparations for the mission, we were scheduled to leave in 0500 hours and head for an uncharted planet called zerus. But when we arrived there it turned out to be an ambush of some sort of primal zero. We hid in the jungle for weeks trying to find a way to contact the ship. After a while the ship arrived out of orbit but was destroyed by an army of hydralisks. We survived for another few weeks but we were being picked off one by one till I was the only of left. I hoped, prayed that the dominion or Raynors raiders would arrive.
But none of them ever did. I lost track of how long I had been running, how many of my closest friends died in front of me, or how many times I went to the crash site to try and make contact with any ship. One day when I was running from several primal zerg (pretty much my regular routine at that point) they stopped all of a sudden. They turned around and ran away, out of curiosity I followed them but from the shadows. I ran after them for a good half our till I noticed on top of a hill a regular zerg force defending some sort of pod at the center of a pool. I watched the battle between the primal and regular zerg wage on until the pod burst open with a huge wave of energy that made even the biggest primal zerg recoil.
I looked in horror as Kerrigan appeared and looked in my direction. She pointed a finger at the tree I was hiding in as several infestors pop out of the ground and run to my hiding place. As soon as I saw them I ran. I didn't care if some primal would pounce on my and kill me, I'd rather die than become an infested. I ran for hours till I came to a stop at my campsite. I activated all the sentry guns (which I scavenged from the crash site) in the camp which automatically started firing on the infestors as they ran with wreckless abandon through the camps defences. One of them before they went down, shot out an infestation quill at me until it was shot in mid air removing the chunk of it before it hit me right in the ass.
