In That Moment

The storm rages outside

I can hear the wind

It's sorrowful cries

Suddenly I see you there

Standing in the doorway of my balcony

Your body is drenched

As cold droplets of water

Flow down your down body

And mingle with the crimson liquid

That's flowing from your wound

In that moment

When you gazed at me

With those piercing eyes

Eyes filled with loneliness and pain

All I could think about

Was helping you

I wanted to take away

All of your pain and see you smile

I longed to bring a smile

To your angelic face

To hear your laughter

I couldn't help it

But I found myself drawn to you

It was something

I had never felt before

And for the first time in my life

My heart began to pound

Within my chest

From the very moment

Our hands touched

I knew that you

Were the one for me

Even if this world

Should fall apart

You will always be the one

I hold within my heart
