DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN VOLTRON.
Lance know, in his heart, that the voltron team didn't mean any harm by their jokes and sarcasm.
Which it didn't.
It just reminded him of home. Of how Lance and his older siblings would tease and pick on each other. He tried so hard for it not to get to him, so hard. But it hurt, it hurt not knowing what is happening to his family, if his little brother had gotten into trouble, his older sister ran out of makeup again and have a melt down. It hurt most not knowing if they even know if he is alive or not.
These were the thoughts that kept him up at night. That made him get up in the middle of the night to go talk to Blue and or stare at the star's.
The best coping method for his home sickness was to talk about his family to his friends. The best people to talk to were Allura and Coran. For they always have a thirst for knowledge when it comes to Earth. Shiro would come join in on the conversation too sometimes, listening to Lance ramble on about his family and city and the ocean.
Oh god the ocean.
Lance would never stop talking about it. Like how the sea life was like and what surfing was. Overall just how beautiful it was.
He would talk about the pizza place near the ocean that he knew the owners of. They were like his extended family as he would work for them sometimes.
Everyone didn't mind to hear Lance talk about his family but they especially love the gentle smile and the soft eyes that come with it that drag you into smiling with him.
