A cracky-ass fic. Enjoy. And, also, METIAS LIVES (in this fic).
Metias wandered down the hall, enjoying the peacefulness within the house while it lasted. He sipped his coffee. Everything was peaceful and quiet.
He passed by June's bedroom, and paused when he heard not one, but TWO voices coming from inside her room.
"Day.."
"Yes, June?"
" Are you sure that will fit?"
"It's the only one I have!"
"I know I know, but..."
"Trust me, it's gonna fit."
Metias nearly spit out his coffee
Say what? Just what exactly are they talking about?
No, not now, it was too soon...not his little Junebug...no.. he had been extremely strict on this Day kid, and has made sure that he and June had not so much as kissed as long as he he was around. However, he was still curious, Maybe...this wasn't what he thought it was (hopefully). Shuffling closer to the door, he pressed his ear against the wood.
THUD!
Metias flinched slightly. Maybe something had ben dropped...or something had been pushed up against something...
No, stop Metias! Have more faith in June!, he thought. Shaking his head, he resumed his eavesdropping.
"Ah..ah..o-ouch.."
"Oh, does it hurt? Do you want me to pull it out?'
"N-no, it's okay. I can handle it."
"You sure?"
"Y-yeah..."
Okay, enough was enough. Time to stop things from going any further. Metias wrenched open the door and screamed, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN-oh."
Day was holding a bloodied staple and June was holding her finger. A stapler was lying on its side, with a brand new box of staples lying next to it.
Oh.
"Metias?" June asked, her voice sounded surprised, if not a little outraged that her brother had been standing outside listening in on them.
"Oh, hi Metias." Day said, setting down the staple.
"What are you two doing? And so early in the morning too?" It wasn't too late to confirm Metias's suspicions.
"Day was helping me fix my stapler. Why else?"
"How do you explain the...the thing that couldn't fit?"
"METIAS WERE YOU EAVESDROPPING?!" June screamed, her eyes widening.
"Answer the question!"
"Day was just trying to replace the staples! God, what did you think we were doing?!"
"And, how do you explain the-the thing you needed to pull out?"
"Oh my god, it was a STAPLE." June groaned, rolling her eyes.
Metias stiffened. Oh.
"Agh, can you just get out? I think you're being too overprotective." June huffed.
"Sorry." Metias mumbled.
Okay, he had been wrong. Very wrong.
"Ah, I must be getting old..." He mumbled to himself. Shaking his head, he drained the last bit of his coffee and continued on his way.
