Lunarkit rushed outside into the snow blanketed landscape. She squeaked at the first few steps in the piercing cold, but soon her paws were numb and she continued on. She rushed over to the nearest pond and slid over it and was hit by a face full of leaves. She shook her head and crossed again, colliding with her sister, Sunkit. They both toppled over the ice, sliding and slipping.
"It's snowing! It's snowing!" Lunarkit cried gleefully, skating with her tiny claws out. She ran back to the nursery. After several short cries, she dragged another kit out into the cold.
"Come on Swift kit!" Lunarkit dragged her onto the ice. Swiftkit wailed,
"I was sleeping!" As she slid across and bumped into Sunkit. Sunkit kicked her like a ball of moss and she skidded up to Lunarkit. Lunarkit grinned evilly any punted her back towards Sunkit. Swiftkit yowled until a queen finally came out. The queen quickly dragged her off and like the snow crystals off her fur. After placing Swiftkit back in the warm dry nursery, she gave each of the other kits a cuff on the ear, and then shunned them inside too.

Dawn stretched and got up for the day. It was Christmas! Hardily, Dawn ran into the living room and snatched her stocking. The first thing she found was a cat amulet. She loved it!
