Love Warning

All her hard work wasted. Why? Because a bunch of bullies from her high school seized her bag and tossed her project in the air. She tried to reach out for them, but was pushed back. She was after all a nerd, a geek with glasses, who also had her nose buried in the phone. Gajeel hollered "Go get it, Blondie!"

When I look at you, I tremble, it makes my heart spin, but I won't let myself be shaken

Lucy struggled and jumped to get her bag. Suddenly, a hand held Gajeel's arm. Lucy gasped. It was none other than the school's handsome bad boy, Natsu Dragneel. Was he actually defending her? He saw the adoring look on her face and smirked. To her horror, he took the bag and turned it upside down turning out all the contents in it.

Catching my eye, you like to smile at me, eh, it's starting to get to be too much

He then tossed the bag back at her and smirked at her shocked face. He then stuck a sign on her face which made his friends laugh loudly. It said 'Salamander's warning'. After being satisfied, they turned around and walked back to their classrooms. Suddenly, something hit the back of Natsu's head. It was sign he had pasted on Luigi, or whatever her name was, all crumpled up. He turned his face to see the girl fuming at him.

It's like the requesting and commenting are starting to not be okay
You do this often, do this often, I'm starting to get suspicious
I'll give you one second, if you keep bothering me, don't come crying to me, okay?

She was walking back home, the next day. Gazing at her phone, she let out a giggle every time she saw a post. Then one post caught her attention. It was a post by one of Salamander's friends Gajeel. It was a picture of Lucy getting the 'Salamander Warning' stuck on her face. She gasped and looked up to see the person she just didn't want to see walking past her with his gang, smirking. She fumed in rage and turned to face the wall, and to her horror, she saw it was taped with posters of her with the 'Salamander Warning'. She turned around and saw the 'Salamander' and his posse, laughing their lungs out. She fumed and started tearing the posters away from the wall.

While making her way through the hallway, Lucy was teased by many people who saw the post. She was even elbowed in her stomach. As she turned around to scowl at the person who did it, somebody made her trip, and she ended up falling in the arms of Natsu Dragneel, the last person she wanted to see.

She was too close to him for her taste, she could see his onyx eyes fill with surprise as they gazed into chocolate ones. Soon they filled with something else, and then she started feeling a little uncomfortable. She pushed him away from her and ran away to the school garage.

When she came to the garage, she was shocked to see her beloved bicycle in pieces, with its wheels missing. On the bicycle's seat was a label with familiar words printed on it. Her eyes filled with tears. "My mom's gift…that bastard!" She picked up the piece of paper, crumpled it up and went to find for the culprit.

Natsu and his friends Gajeel, Sting and Gray were laughing as they bragged about how they removed the tires of Lucy's bicycle, while the tires were lying near them. Suddenly, with a big thud, Lucy's bicycle fell on their legs. Natsu looked up to see Lucy fuming at him, wishing to say something, but her eyes said everything. She was in tears, Natsu noticed, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. She threw the crumpled piece of paper on his head and marched away.

Gajeel got up to teach her lesson, but was pulled down by Natsu. He stood up as well and shook his head, but did not say any words. He just watched the figure of Lucy march away in a huff.

Lucy was eating her lunch in peace. Then suddenly, all the people from the cafeteria ran away. Then she heard a chair being pulled near her. She looked up and understood why everyone had run away from there. It was Fairy Tail's resident bad boy Natsu Dragneel of course. She let out sigh thinking, "Will my day ever get better?"

She went back to eating her food. She tried to reach out for the ketchup bottle, but had it given to her by the pink-haired devil. He poured some of it on her sandwich. She chewed in silence, wondering what had she done to be treated so nicely by the devil. She looked up and saw him smiling as she ate. His smile quickly dropped and he looked away, trying to hide his blush. She giggled softly and went back to eating her food. If only this peace could last long.

Just then, the rest of Natsu's gang entered the almost deserted cafeteria. They saw him with her. Not wanting them to know, Natsu quickly got up and poured excess ketchup on her sandwich, making it impossible for her to eat it. Then Gajeel threw her drink in a corner. They then walked away, laughing at her expense. Even Natsu pretended to laugh. He then turned behind and saw Lucy fuming at him, while he sighed in defeat.

Lucy was walking back home from school the next day. She was dressed in a pretty white skirt and pink jacket. She had left her hair open, and seemed to be in a good mood that day. She said to herself, "It's a nice day. And the day after, it is the school party!" Then, she saw something slide in front of her which distracted her from her thoughts. She saw that it was her bicycle. She smiled in delight and looked up to see who the kind person was. Her smile immediately dropped when she saw who it was.

Huffing to herself, she climbed the seat of her bicycle and was about to pedal away, when someone stopped it by grabbing the backseat. She turned and saw Natsu smiling at her, as if to say that he wanted a ride. She turned her face away, but did not start riding it. Natsu grinned brightly.

Natsu enjoyed the breeze as swept his bags on his face. He was sitting behind Lucy on the backseat. She smiled too, enjoying the feeling of his warm back on hers. They then pedaled away, and she was in a good mood until they reached the basketball court. Natsu saw his gang playing over there and was afraid that they would say something, so he quickly jumped off. She turned around and saw the situation. She looked at him sadly, and he seemed to sadness in his eyes too. Then it clicked in her mind. She rode on her bicycle, pedaling fast, a plan formulating in her mind fast, and a little grin adorning her face.

It was the day of the school party. It was being held near the school's swimming pool. Natsu was with his gang grinning and laughing in a corner. Then, Gajeel saw someone, and pointed it out. Natsu turned around and his jaw dropped.

It was Lucy, and she looked…different. She had ditched her glasses, and had worn a short white skirt, with a black sleeveless cropped top, which showed part of her stomach. She was wearing a black jacket, which was zipped open. She walked shyly, as she was getting a lot of stares. Gajeel and Gray pushed him towards her. He walked up to her. She walked away from him, backwards. He kept walking closely towards her. She kept walking away from him in backward motion and towards the pool. Then she tripped, and was just about to fall. She closed her eyes, expecting cool water to come in contact with her skin. When she didn't, she saw Natsu holding her hand, refusing to let her go.

Everyone around him started shouting "Let her go! Let her go! Let her go!"

Suddenly, a small smirk adorned Lucy's face. Before Natsu had time to register what it meant, she let go of his hand and fell into the water.

Everyone around him laughed at her. She was struggling, and was splashing about. "Oh shit! She can't swim!" He thought. He felt responsible. This was his fault. Without caring that everyone was watching, he jumped right in, to the shock of his friends.

Suddenly, he came right up, completely wet, but had a pissed off face. They all wondered what it meant. Then Lucy arose from the water, completely unharmed, as if she wasn't 'drowning' just a few moments ago. She looked at Natsu, her smirk completely visible. Then everyone laughed.

"She trapped you well, Romeo!" Gray hollered.

Natsu pouted. Then some water was splashed on him. He saw that Lucy was grinning at him. She splashed some more water on him. He smiled, and splashed water on her. Then everyone jumped in, without caring that they would get wet, or ruin their clothes. They splashed water at each other. But all this while, Natsu had eyes for only one person. The person who was a warning to him: Lucy Heartfilia.

Lucy walked through the hallway. She was back in her usual attire, as it was a usual day at school. But then, it wasn't for her. As she peaked at the noticeboard, she saw her face on it, with the words 'Salamander Warning' on it. She fumed in rage, and reached out to tear it out, but then, someone behind her suddenly put some label on the word 'Salamander'. Then, his hand slowly shifted away from it, and she saw something that made her smile. The poster no longer held the words 'Salamander Warning'. It held the words 'Love Warning'. She then turned around to face the person who put the label. It was Natsu Dragneel, of course.

He smiled at her, and she smiled back blushing heavily. Then, all of a sudden, without a warning, his lips met hers. She didn't push him back and kissed him back without hesitation. Their kiss conveyed their messages to each other.

'Why? Why am I Love Warning?'

'Cause you're a warning to me, lest if I don't claim you soon, I will have a heartbreak. You're my love warning.'
