Shopping for Shoes in the Digital World

When Marcus had packed for the Digital World, spare clothes weren't on the list. And they weren't that much of a problem either. Digimon – or some digimon – wore clothes. Or accessories. They had tailors and material to make stuff out of, and Marcus was always earning a pretty digi-dollar doing something or other. He even picked up a few new articles when they struck his fancy or became a necessity.

Shoes on the other hand were harder to get a hold of.

It wasn't like digimon didn't wear shoes either. Just…few did. And the ones that did usually had boots or stuff, and were usually built in. Things like SkullMeramon's metal soles that would burn his feet when walking over volcanoes or freeze them in the mountains and were useless in climbing. Or Neemon's whose shoes were made out of the same stuff as his pants and really didn't help much.

'You should just get used to no shoes,' Agumon would offer. Of course, he didn't wear shoes.

'My feet are fragile,' Marcus would answer back. And they would be, of course, since he used his fists to do all the punching.

But he finally found a Floramon who made them out of the same stuff as Agumon's leather band (which may have been helped along by Agumon himself, tired of carrying his partner everywhere) and who managed to make boots Marcus could get used to. Even if they did resemble SkullMeramon's…if you substituted the metal for leather.
