Spoilers for 11.23 and Young Sheldon
It was interesting to finally meet Sheldon's brother George in "The Sibling Realignment" after seeing him as a teenager in "Young Sheldon". How did a stupid lazy teenager turn into a successful businessman? I assume for this story that George gets married (for the first time) aged 19, shortly before his fathers death, and that Sheldon was a visiting Professor in Germany at the same time.

After the death of George Cooper Senior in 1994, Sheldon's university in Germany gave him 2 weeks bereavement leave so he could return to Texas for the funeral. Sheldon's 2 weeks were almost finished and it was nearly to return to Germany. Sheldon had a final meal with his family before he left.
Sheldon said "Zuruck nach Deutschland, time to go" with tears in his eyes as he hugged Missy, Meemaw and his mother. "Keep looking after everybody Mother. OK Georgie I'm ready."
George and his new wife Tammy helped Sheldon put his luggage in George's truck.
"Thanks for taking me to the airport Georgie"
"No problem little brother, Tammy works at the airport in the coffee shop and she has to work this evening."

Thirty minutes later in the airport car park.
Sheldon shook hands with his brother "thank you driving me to the airport", then he was hugged by his sister-in-law "I hope to meet you in better circumstances next time Tammy, look after Georgie."

As he drove home alone Georgie thought about his life.
"Sheldon hasn't changed, still my annoying patronising little brother. He thinks he is so clever calling himself Doctor Cooper. He thinks I can't look after myself. Well I am the man of the family, not you Doctor Cooper. George Cooper is dead, long live George Cooper. This George Cooper can look after himself and his family."
George was almost home when he heard a bang "Oh man, is that another blown tyre? At least Frank's tyre mart is only a block away."
"Hi I'm Frank, looks like you need a new tyre."
"Looks like you are right Frank."
"No problem, it should take about 20 minutes to get a new tyre on your truck. Come into the office and have a cup of coffee whilst we fix it."
20 minutes later...
"Thanks for the coffee Frank, how much do I owe you?"
"50 dollars please."
"There you go. A question for you Frank about that advert for a new tyre salesman, is it still open?"
"Yes it is, are you interested?"
"My name is George Cooper and I am interested..."
