Kakashi's Love Story
Author's note: Kakashi may be out of character sometimes and the timeline of this story can also change. I'm still not finished with the general plot.
Chapter 1
"What's that?" Naruto asked referring to something in his sensei's hands. Kakashi, who was looking at "it" intently just said "it's nothing" and quickly puts it back in his pocket. "You're going to be late" trying to push Naruto away, so he'll leave him in peace. "Nah, I have time."
He plans to make him talk and stop him from being mysterious all the time. He's grown up now and know a thing or too about love. He can feel it's about a girl. No one has ever heard of Kakashi's past lover (or lovers), so he's determined to hear this story.
Although… it's not going to be today because he can see Hinata from a distance and he knows she's coming to get him. He is so late for a meeting with his granny Tsunade, the Hokage. He slowly got up from the grass he was sitting on and waved at Hinata to indicate he understands.
Looking down where Kakashi is still laying with his hands at the back of his head and said "You were saved by the bell."
They both smiled. Then he ran off leaving Kakashi with his thoughts.
That was his plan all along before Naruto spotted him. He wanted to rest here in this place on top of a hill, looking at Konoha while reviewing all the events that happened last month.
What he experienced then only sunk in today. Tsunade ordered him to take a week off starting on this day. He was working non-stop even after his S-rank mission 30 days ago that she feels he's not really 100% "here".
She's right, of course. She also feels guilty for giving him that mission but she knew he was the only one capable of succeeding in it with utter secrecy. They (and Shizune) are the only 3 people who know about that mission.
He took it out of his pocket again and memories of a girl came flooding back in his mind. How can he forget? She's nothing like any girl he ever met, living in a world he'd never known. He remembered the exact words she used to describe it: "Solar-powered pocket picture frame"
*Flashback*
"Ok, so you just put this one here," referring to the memory card to be put at the picture frame, "and you're going to see all the pictures we took earlier."
She was about to give the frame to him, but the pictures enchanted her. She just wants to look at every picture he took. "Wow, you're really great at this!" then exclaiming "I love this one!" She showed him a picture he took of her. She was sitting at a rock, looking at the waves, a small figure in a huge portrait of ocean, sand, rocks and waves.
He smiled at her enthusiasm. YES. She saw him smile. She is the 3rd person (apart from his parents) to see him without the mask.
Well, of course, he'll look like a weirdo if he wore that mask here (a place so far from home in a time parallel to his own).
