She was beautiful,
She had everything and more,
And my escape was hidin' out,
And runnin for the door,
Somebody listen please,
It used to be so hard, being me

Livin in the shadow,
Of someone else's dream,
Trying to find a hand to hold,
But the touch felt cold to me,
Livin in a nightmare,
A never ending sleep,
But now that I am wide awake,
My chains are finally free,
Don't feel sorry for me,

The words flowing from the speakers in the small café came from the voice of the girl on center stage. Along with her two friends, they were pretty good. Not good enough to be recognized, of course. They weren't into the whole "Rockstar" gig… that is, until they WERE recognized.

All the days collided,
One less perfect than the next,
I was stuck inside someone else's life,
And always second best,
Oh, I love you now,
Cause now I realize,
That it's safe outside,
To come alive,
In my identity,

Livin in the shadow,
Of someone else's dream,
Trying to find a hand to hold,
But the touch felt cold to me,
Livin in a nightmare,
A never ending sleep,
Now that I am wide awake,
Then I can finally see,
Don't feel sorry for me,

Oh, my life is good,
I got more than anyone should,
Oh, my life is good,
And the past is in the past

After the show a stubby man around his thirties approached the girls with a smile on his face and a cigar in his hand.

"Excellent! Ladies, that had to be the best thing I've heard all month!" He praised.

"Uh, thanks. I guess…" The singer thanked. She didn't know weather to trust the man or not. She had large, dark eyes that had an invisible glint that was original all its own. Her long ebony hair was neatly woven behind her ears and fell down to the small of her back; the bottom of the darkness was lined with curls. Her slim neck supported her small round face and beautiful smile. A rather short girl with a slim waist and long legs, her outfit expressed her curves perfectly.

"I guess! What do ya' mean 'I guess'! Don't you know who he is!" Screamed the guitarist. She had smaller jade eyes that were filled with excitement. Her long burnt red hair was pulled up into two pigtails, revealing her round face and I'm-not-as-near-as-shy-as-my-friend smile. The accented shape of her slim body was defining to some guys.

The drummer interrupted, "That's Konnan Hokartu! THE Konnan Hokartu! As in MASS RECORD PRODUCER! RECORDED OVER 10 RECORDS THAT WENT PLATINUM!" She was the tallest of the three girls and supported a shy smile on her face. She had light golden-brown orbs that filled up with any emotion you could think of. Her long hair was let loose and fell short to her butt, it was so dark you'd almost think it was black.

"Oh" The singer's eyes widened a little, showing her excitement.

"Ladies, please… you flatter me. I can give you a deal… but I need to check in with the office and things like that, but I have a feeling that you girls are going P-L-A-T-I-N-U-M, Platinum!"

"You really think so?" They all screamed at once and huddled around the man.

"All I need is your names."

The lead singer rose up her head, "Kagome."

Next the guitarist, "Ayame."

Last the drummer, "Sango."

"Alright ladies, here's my card." Handing the ecstatic girls the small card he turned to walk out the door.

"Wait!" Called Sango. "How good are we?"

The man opened the door and spun around to say, "I have a feeling you girls will the next K-9!"

With that the record producer walked out the door.

"K-9?" The girls said in bewilderment standing alone in the café holding a card.

I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind,
I left my body lyin' somewhere in the sands of time,
But I watched the float to the dark side of the moon,
I feel there's nothin' I can't do, yeah.

I watched the world float to the dark side of the moon,
After all I knew it had to be somethin' to do with you,
I really don't mind what happens now and then,
As long as you'll be my friend at the end.

If I go crazy then, will you still call me superman,
If I'm alive and well, will you be there a-holdin' my hand,
I'll keep you by my side with my superhuman might,
Kryptonite

You called me strong, you called me weak,
But still your secrets I will keep,
You took for granted, all the times I never let you down,
You stumbled in, and bumped your head,
If not for me than you'd be dead,
I picked you up, and put you back on solid ground.

The guitars and cymbals rang throughout the coliseum, the audience cheered. Loud roars, claps and whistles came from the heaping mob. All were jumping up and down and had black T-shirts with the K-9 symbol printed on it. Konnan emerged from the curtain and waved goodbye to all the people. The three men on stage sighed silently, gracefully dropped their instruments in their cases, and collapsed on a couch backstage. A large sign was placed on the metal door: No Backstage Passes Will Be Accepted.

"New York is rough." The Guitarist sighed.

"I second that - no third – I agree..." The bass player complained with a confused tone and look of puzzlement upon his features.

"Oh, yeah." The drummer sighed monotonously.

The odd-looking band sighed in desperation. The lead guitarist had long silver locks and bangs that hid his face when he looked to the floor; not wanting to show off the amazing golden honey eyes that were the most extravagant. He was defiantly the best looking guy in the band. Apparently he loved red, considering his semi-muscular built body was draped in it.

The bass player had large navy blue eyes that had a habit of wandering, and a perverted grin always on his face. His short black hair was pulled to the back of his head with a sort of a 'rat-tail' style look from the 80's.

The drummer's occupation fit him perfectly. He had a look of I'm-always-pissed-off-so-leave-before-something-bad-happens-to-you look on his face. He had long black hair about as long as the lead's but his was pulled up into a high ponytail and was held back with a brown sweatband for extra support. He had small blue eyes that resembled the sky itself, and contacts that made his pupils disappear.

Konnan walked in with a grin on his face. "You won't believe what I've found!"

"What now?" The guitarist snarled.

"In that café I visited for lunch today I ran across some hometown talent!"

"Very interesting, now tell me why I should even consider caring." The drummer sneered.

"Well, these three girls I ran across call themselves 'The Three Of Hearts' and- "

"Girls! I like this band already." The bass player said with a lot more energy than first implied; and a lecherous grin sprouted from his lips.

The other two sighed.

"Now don't get too excited. But I did take a picture, it you'd like to see that is…" Konnan trailed off.

" Let's see!" The bass player said with much enthusiasm and jerking the picture out of Konnan's hand.

The three of them looked at the picture. No one spoke until the bass player laid his finger on a spot. The drummer.

"That one is very lovely, her beauty lightens up the entire stage!"

"Oh, boy." The other two sighed.

"Miroku! Focus!" The drummer shook his friend.

"Kouga? Will you stop shaking me anytime soon?" Miroku screamed.

"Feh. What do these girls have anything to do with us? I mean, are they even any good?" The Guitarist asked.

"Inuyasha, you know as well as Kouga or Miroku that I only look into talented persons." Konnan said with pride in his tone.

"That doesn't answer my questions." Inuyasha said with annoyance in his voice.

"Yes they're good! They're great! Excellent even! And I'm going to have a meeting with them tomorrow. See how they sound under the real mic."

"May we come? I want to meet these inspirational young ladies." Miroku begged clasping his hands together and falling on his knees in front of Konnan.

"Common Miroku! You must have one strand of dignity in you somewhere!" Kouga told him, grabbing him up by the back of his collar and sitting him down on the couch where he truly belonged at the moment.

"Of course you're going! You didn't think I wouldn't take you to see the next big thing!"

"Wait a minute! WE'RE the big thing! And I'm not being upstaged by some amateur girls that think they can sing!" Inuyasha sneered.

Konnan shook his head. "No, no. They're not upstaging you! If they're good enough the could be on stage WITH you!"

The three of them though it over and considered it. But they had to be as good as Konnan claims them to be, maybe even better than that!

"Just sleep on it! When you hear this Kagome girl sing you'll know what I mean. Now get some rest, you've got to make a good impression for your lady friends tomorrow!" Konnan said with enthusiasm but when he reached the hallway you could hear him yawn.

"Feh."

"I going to bed now. That way I can sleep the hours away." Miroku sighed.

"Miroku! You sound so… not straight!" Inuyasha complained. "Anyways, I could care less about these girls. There's no way there as good as Konnan claims them to be."

"I don't know. They COULD be pretty good. Ya' never know after all muttface." Kouga argued.

"Whatever, wolf." Inuyasha said with a wave as he walked down the hall to his room and shut the door behind him.

A/N: Well, there you have it. I know, Miroku sounds… well… not straight! A little bit. Find out how the guys like the girls in the next chapter. This one isn't that long, but the songs kindda made it longer. Oh, well.

Note: Fluffy Might be in this… I'm not sure just yet. To Fluff or not to Fluff? What a stupid question.
