This is kinda short but hopefully the next chapter will be a little longer, as always reviews and stuff are really appreciated.
Feeding
'Well this is new,' Jim thought as he walked round and round his flat gently rocking the newborn baby. His sister had died in childbirth, the baby's father had also died, so guess who ended up with the baby? Yup, Jim Moriarty, consulting criminal and general mastermind, which was why he was now walking round the flat singing nursery rhymes while waiting for Sebastian to bring home supplies. The stupid baby wouldn't stop crying so Jim had called Seb begging for help, Seb had laughed but agreed to get everything they would need. The doorbell rung and Jim sighed with relief, "I have my hands full of baby! Let yourself in!" Jim heard Seb laughing as he entered the flat with a load of shopping bags, he dumped them unceremoniously on the floor and scooped the baby out of Jim's arms.
"What's it called?" He asked rocking it gently,
"Annabelle." Jim replied. Seb nodded,
"Get me the bottle and formula out of the bag will you?" Jim smiled and shuffled through the bags until he found what Seb wanted, he handed them to him and Seb went through to the kitchen and expertly prepared the bottle one handed before silencing Annabelle's cries by shoving the bottle in her mouth. Jim breathed a sigh of relief.
"God you're good." He muttered, joining Seb in the kitchen. Seb smiled and continued feeding the baby.
"I didn't know you had a sister…" He said quietly.
"Yeah… Lucy… she was nice… we actually kind of got on…"
"I'm so sorry Jim…" Seb murmured.
"It isn't your fault but…. Thanks. Anna looks like her…" Jim muttered, gently kissing the feeding baby's head. Seb frowned, confused at how affectionate his boss, he was usually a cold hearted killer, was being. As Anna finished feeding Jim took her from Seb and held her over his shoulder, rubbing her back until she burped. He smile and shifted her position so he was cradling her to him again.
"You're such a good girl Anna… such a good girl…" He whispered. Seb just frowned again, this wasn't at all like Jim, but he supposed he kind of liked it.
"Did you get a cot or something we can put her in?" Jim asked quietly, rocking her.
"Yeah, it's in the car, shall I bring it in?" Jim nodded and started singing nursery rhymes to Anna again. Seb stifled a giggle and went out to the car to bring the cot back in. Jim somehow managed to rock Annabelle to sleep just as Seb struggled through the door with an enormous cot. Jim giggled,
"Put it at the foot of our bed in case she wakes up in the night…" He smirked, knowing their room was the furthest away from the door. Seb groaned but did as he asked, Jim followed him into the bedroom and placed Anna down gently in the cot, he kissed two of his fingers and placed them on her cheek,
"Night night baby…" He whispered.
"She's changed you Jim… You're so kind around her…" Seb whispered, not wanting to wake her up.
"I know she has… I have to look after her though… So…" He shrugged, "I guess she just reminds me of Lucy…" Seb just nodded and Jim yawned, he crawled into bed fully clothed and as soon as his head hit the pillow he fell asleep.
