Morty sits on the couch, his feet propped up on the coffee table. He blankly stares at the television in front of him. Suddenly, Rick bursts into the room from the garage.

"Heyyyyy Morty how about an adventure?" says Rick

"..I-i don't know, Rick. I'm-" says Morty

"GREAT let's go"

Rick runs up to Morty and grabs his ankle. Morty tries to resist Rick's pull by grabbing onto the back of the couch.

"Morty c'mon. I-i don't have time for these games."

"I can walk by myself, Rick."

The pair glare at each other for a few moments and Rick releases Morty's ankle. Rick puts his hands up and turns around to head back into the garage.

"Thank you." Morty mumbles as he stands up.

Morty follows Rick into the garage, where he's already waiting in the ship.

"Look who decided to join the party! I thought maybe you pulled a fast one on me, Morty. Would have been reeaall sad if you bailed on me, Morty."

"Sh-shut up, Rick." Morty says, putting on his seatbelt.

Rick takes them to a small place along the edge of the galaxy. As they get closer, Morty notices that it's an ice cream shop.

"Ice cream, Rick? Really? All this way for ice cream?"

Rick looks over at Morty, clearly offended.

"What now you're too good for a classic adventure, Morty? W-what ever happened to 'Rick and Morty 100 years', huh?"

"Y-you pulled out of my relaxing Saturday for s-stupid ice cream!"

Rick grips hard onto the steering wheel.

"Maybe I just wanted to have stupid ice cream with my stupid Grandson. I-is that too much to ask for?"

Morty turns away to look out at the stars. Rick slumps as he lands the ship in an empty parking spot. Ricks pulls out his flask and takes a sip as they both step out onto the pavement.

After many failed attempts by Rick to get Morty to look at him, they both sit down with their ice cream.

"Hey Mo-UGH-ty, h-how's your ice cream?"

Morty looks up from his ice cream, and Rick gives him the biggest smile he can muster. Morty huffs, and turns towards the window, away from Rick.

Rick's smile drops, and his spiked hair falters a bit.

"Morty, c'mon I-i didn't mean that thing about you being stupid. It was just the first thing that came to mind."

Morty gives Rick an angry look.

"Y-y-you know what I mean. Listen, Morty, I just wanted to take you somewhere I know you would like."

Rick slumps back down, his blue spikes falling further. He pokes at his ice cream with his spoon as Morty watches him.

"Fine. I forgive you, even though you technically didn't apologize."

Rick pops back up.

"Great! Because I'm gonna need your help on getting these-these uhh rare-real rare flowers, Morty. I'm-"

Morty cuts Rick off.

"Y-you used me! T-this is just a bribe!"

Rick pauses, his mouth hanging open

"Uh yeah, Morty. You're a sucker for emotional shit."
