Summary: Back to school with Kairi, Selphie, Wakka, Riku, and Tidus. What happens when Kairi is going into the 11th grade, and when the one person she adores isn't there…or is he? KxS story! Kairi's PoV

Chapter 1: Back to School

"Kairi, you're going to be late for school" my mother said.

"Common! It's WAY too early to be getting up!" I manage to say while my body was buried in the mess of blankets.

"Well Namine is gonna be here soon…"

"Well…I just…Why don't….AGHHH FINE!" I got up and looked at my mother who was standing in the door way with her arms crossed and she gave me a small smirk.

I manage to get a little sigh in, as she walked away since her first mission was done for the day.

I said to myself "I think she wants to kill me…." Then I let out a small laugh, "What to wear, What to wear?" then I pulled out a jean mini skirt with a few rips in it with a wife beater t- shirt and then a big belt that would go over the long shirt. I went in the bathroom, 'luckily I took a shower last night' I stated in my head, I was already late as it was. I pulled up my hair into a ponytail, with my long bangs hanging down; I put my hoops in and walked down the stairs.

"Hurray! She's looking cute and she's ready, I think I need to put this in my book of records with you, right next to the one that you took a shower for 30 minutes, JUST 30 minutes!" we both laughed and I grabbed my pop tart. It was just me and my mom living in this really big house. My dad left when I was real little, but I have to say it never got lonely or boring.

"Honey, I'm going to this work dinner tonight and I won't be home tilllate, so I'm hoping if you go out with your friends, please be back by a decent hour, ok?"

"Can fo" (she's trying to say CAN DO) I said with my pop tart stuffed in my mouth "mof I'm gonna fe fate if I don go"

"What ever you said dear, ok"

The door bell rang right when she said that, I ran over and saw Namine, she's my best friend, I opened the door as she was wearing light blue jeans and a white halter top, and some white flip flops.

"Hey Kai! I missed you SOOO much!" she said as she walked into my house.

"I know me too!" I manage to say as I took out the pop tart that was budged in my mouth,

then I heard my mom say "ok I see how it is, so you take the pop tart out of your mouth for her…" all of us laughed and I ran up to her and kissed her and hugged her

"Bye mom!"

"Bye dear! Have a great day, you too Namine!" Namine waved as I shut the door and we left, we were walking and she told me "I hear there are going to be quite the amount of new kids this year. I hope there's going to be a cute yet sweet boy there." I told her "I think there will be, but you know…I'm still a little attached to Sora, I mean I know he left an all, but… I don't know"

She turned around and said, "Don't worry, and if your not ready to date guys I mean, you shouldn't have to, Kairi, this is high school, We are officially now in the 11th grade! So many things are bound to happen!"

"I guess your right" I told her in a little whisper. I was still feeling pretty crappy, since I mean, I don't know if I love him, but I think I do. He moved the year before high school. I have had a few boyfriends between now and then, a lot of guys want to get with me, and I mean A LOT. Me, Namine, Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie, were pretty popular.

My thinking suddenly came to abrupt hault when I saw the other guys, "HEY!" Namine shouted towards them.

They all look back at us and ran towards us, "Hiyya!" Selphie said

then we all sat at our table, there was a table in front of the school, we all carved our names into, everyone knew not to sit there. Wakka and Tidus were talking about what they did in the summer. Selphie was actually sitting on the table while she spotted for cute boys. Namine and I started to check our schedules.

"Hey! Namine and I both have everything together…except gym, I have it 5th period and she has it 6th, and I have math 6th period and she has it 5th."

Everyone started in this conversation, I pulled out my pink cell phone and look at the time, we had 30 minutes before class started then I took a look at my background. It was a picture of Tidus, Wakka, Selphie, Riku, Me, and Sora. I missed him so much.

"Hey my peoples! What's good!" we all looked out and saw Riku,

"Hey" we all managed to say.

"Sorry I was late, my stupid alarm clock went off at 7:20, damn thing…."

He sat down at the table and looked at us, "I have a surprise for you kairi…" he said

"Really what is it?" I asked with much curiosity.

"I'll tell you in a little bit…just not yet." He then left the table. We all looked at him as if he was growing a horn.

We all went to class, finally it was the last class of the day (I know, but who really wants to talk about school? Also something is going to happen AFTER school .)

Namine and I heard the bell ring and we all jumped up and walked to our lockers. Namine pulled out her light blue binder and leaned against her locker as I pulled out my bright pink one and then she said,

"Today wasn't THAT bad, right?" I thought for a bight then gave her my answer, "I mean yeah, it was cool, I guess."

Namine and I walked down our street and then we said our goodbyes, since we live right across the street from each other. As I walked to my door and I was about to put the key in when someone behind me said,

"Ok kairi! Time for your surprise!" I turned around the see Riku standing there.

I manage to say "but riku, it's not even my birthday yet."

He let a sigh out and said, "Ok fine then I guess I'll just keep it till your birthday." With that he walked down the path leading my house to the sidewalk.

"WAIT!" I ran up to him "tell me riku!" I said with a nervous tone in my voice, scared to know what his surprise was

"ok well you have to stay RIGHT there!" he called out as I waited and he turned to my house again, I couldn't see what or who he was hiding, because my stupid bush got in the way.

"Cover your eyes now Kairi!"

"Fine" I said then I heard footsteps and he said "open your eyes" I did so, and then my mouth dropped open to see who was standing there.

"Hey kairi, it's been along time…"
