She gazed at the ballroom. They had met here two years ago, right on New Year's Eve. He had danced with her under the full moon. That was when she had fallen in love with him, but she couldn't tell him that…
Now, he was always busy. He was always doing work for SeeD, and was always coming home late. Rinoa had an apartment in Balamb, so they commuted every morning. The whole gang lived in Balamb and were sent on various missions. Quistis was teaching again, at the school. She laughed it off when Zell was attacking her pride. Selphie had broken up with Irvine permanently because of his roaming eye and hands. Selphie had finally had enough. But, besides the current breakup, she was happy.
Rinoa sighed as it was approaching midnight. She walked out of the ballroom. She heard silence as she went back up to the office. Edea was there and looked at Rinoa funny.
"Why are you here? You're supposed to be in the Quad," she said. Rinoa looked confused but nodded. She went down to the Quad. She gasped as she saw it. The whole room was dimly lit and there were petals everywhere. Music softly hummed in the background from a stereo. A man stood in the middle and turned. He smiled at her. She ran and hugged him. He laughed and held her tightly.
"You thought I would forget?" he asked kindly. She shook her head. They danced under the full moon, just like the night when they first met…
