You were a L'cie now, so was Hope. You were pissed with snow, and lightning. You could tell that Hope was scared but he tried not to show it since you were around. He wanted to impress you, so he tried to act strong. You all were walking until 4 behemoths and 40 men attacked. You drew your sword, but Hope jumped in front of you. "What are you doing?! You'll get hurt!" He looked at you. "I care about you, y-your my friend." You just looked at him like he was crazy. "But...you still will get hurt...your no match for them.." "Watch what I can do, I will protect you..I have to." You growled, you didn't want him injured. A behemoth came towards Hope and it raised its paw to hit Hope but you pushed him out of the way and it clawed you instead. You hear Hope scream and he tried calling your name. You see the monsters and guys get destroyed but as the battle goes on your Vision get blurry and you feel Hope trying to shake you. "Wake up! Stay awake!" Then the lights went out.
Later
You wake up and Hope is sitting there, looking at you. "A-are you ok?" He laid down beside you. "I...I'm fine..I guess." He wrapped his arm around you. "I wanted to protect you...I said I would...why didn't you let me?" "It was behind you...and you were so fragile I didn't want you hurt." "I..I mean..your the only one that I have l-left..." "What about your dad?" "You know...h-he doesn't care..." "Well you should try to atleast try to start a relationship with hi-" "No! I don't want to!" He hugged you, and you winced. "I-Im sorry.." "Don't be..I deserve all the pain I can get.." "Nononononon! No you don't! You don't deserve any at all!" Hopes eyes were watery and it looked like he was about to cry. "I can't lose you..." He turns around and it looks like he's crying. "Hope.." You get up and it hurts but you wrap your arms around Hope as he cries. "I couldn't let it hurt you... I wanna protect you too..
