Glimmering on its fragile surface (10)

A hidden heart shining with emotion (10)
But how is that possible? (8)
I do not possess a soul nor a heart (10)
I shrouded myself in darkness (8)
Desiring to be independent (10)
This independence I speak of (8)
Is wanting to be alone forever (10)
This feeling has been with me (8)
And I must follow this sole intention (10)
Shrouded in darkness and mystery (10)
I am just an empty shell with a name (10)
Yet, one little question still frames my mind...(10)
