He had woken up with a tight feeling in his left arm. He disregarded the feeling and stretched a bit, running a hand through his hair and opening his eyes a bit, noticing a lump of a sleeping girl next to him, her head on his arm and her face snuggled against his chest. Her hand was placed softly against his right side, where she seemed to have a slight grip on his shirt. Carefully, so as to not wake her, he lifted his numb arm and twisted his hand into her hair. She didn't seem to stir.
"Hey," he whispered. "DG. Deeg, c'mon. Wake up." She seemed to have twitched a bit out of sleep, but no huge improvement. Her breathing still seemed deep and slow, and her eyes were still sealed shut. He sighed, moving himself up a bit and looking around for a clock. Oddly, he couldn't find one nearby. Although, judging by the fact that it was abnormally light out, he guessed it was sometime in the afternoon. He looked back down at her. She was a hard one to wake up. Pulling her head back a bit, he kissed her gently on the forehead, stroking her hair. She made a noise that informed him of her waking. "There we go," he murmured. "Now you're awake." She nuzzled her face against him, squeezing him in what he assumed was a sort of stretch. "You're a hard sleeper, Princess. Do you realize that?"
"Yes," she said wearily. "You'd be, too, if you lived like me." She was right; her mother had been bringing in suitor after suitor, none of which she approved of. It wasn't that she was stubborn, it was just that a lot of them were only interested in becoming royalty through her, and when they weren't interested in that they were interested in… Well, other things. She didn't like the idea of marrying just to carry on the royal name. She continued to tell him, 'if I marry, I want it to be for love', and he had nothing against that. That's all he ever wanted, and when he achieved it, it was taken away. He could only hope that the same wouldn't happen to her.
She pulled herself closer, burying her face close to his neck now. He let her. She might as well. Plus, he wasn't all opposed to it, either; they were both exhausted, she was warm, and her love was an entirely accepted thing.
"What time is it?" she asked, her voice muffled a bit. He looked around for a quick moment before pulling his gaze away.
"There are no clocks around here. I'm not sure. Though I'd throw a guess that it's about eleven or twelve."
"In the afternoon?" He was quiet for a moment.
"Do you really think I'd wake you up at midnight?" She giggled.
"I don't know…" He kissed the top of her head, sitting like that for a while before sitting up. She only stayed where she was, her arm now pulled to her side.
"C'mooon, DG. Glitch and Raw are probably waiting for us."
"Well, make them wait longer. I'm tired."
"Well, that's a pity, but too bad. Wake up." She didn't move. So he made her; he grabbed her under her arms and pulled her into a sitting position between his legs, wrapping his arms around her middle. "You won't be anymore awake if you just lay there." She sighed, stretching her limbs.
"Then let's get up and walk around."
"That's a brilliant idea." He let her go as she stood up, stretching her whole body now and looking at him, waiting for him to stand up. He did so, smirking the whole time. "Nice PJs, Princess." She smiled, poking his arm.
"Same to ya." He lifted a brow, still smiling as they walked in step.
"That's quite a snippy remark for just waking up." She laughed a bit before she scrunched her nose and stuck out her tongue.
The face was adorable.
He leaned down to her eyelevel, watching as her face regained its normal figure before he quickly moved forward, kissing her softly on the lips. When he pulled away, she looked oddly calm about it.
"You're quite loveable in the morning." He chuckled, ruffling her hair and walking into main room with her.
"You, too, Princess."
