Crying Remus looked into the mirror. What was staring back at him was a normal human being, but what he saw was a disgusting monster. That's all he ever saw to be completely honest. Sure, he had human features and a human body but just underneath that delicate skin was a beast, a monster, who couldn't wait till the moon became full. It took him over till he couldn't even remember what happened, till he wasn't even himself anymore. Thinking about it just tore him apart. He would never be able to be rid of it.
The only person that ever seemed to make him forget about the monster deep inside him was his amazing boyfriend, Sirius Black. That's the only time he was never reminded of the curse plagued on him. Sirius loved him no matter what Remus saw himself as. He had convinced they're two best friends to become illegal animagus for him so he would no longer have to be alone on some of the worse days of his life. It made his heart swell just thinking about how someone could love him no matter what he believed he had become after that fateful day.
While Remus was too wrapped around his thoughts, staring in the mirror, Sirius walks into the room. At first he just stares at Remus with his beautiful smile thinking he has interrupted some special moment. He stopped that though, however, when he saw the light glimmer off tears on his face. He rushed over to his boyfriend and hugged him.
Remus was surprised to say the least. He was embarrassed though at the thought of Sirius seeing him like that. There was no hiding it, he was wearing his thoughts all over his face and Sirius had a way of knowing what he's thinking. It was something that made him love him; they could just communicate without words. That was often way stronger than having to try and explain what you're thinking.
Looking at Sirius, Remus just knew what he was thinking. Don't you dare think of yourself like that. He looked so serious that he just had to believe him, if only for a second. Yes Remus Lupin did believe he was a monster, but that didn't mean he didn't have moments where Siruis could make him forget about his "little furry problem".
