Disclaimer: All characters and the world they live in belong to the great J.R.R. Tolkien and those who inherited his creations. I am only borrowing Éowyn for a little bit and am endeavoring to return her unharmed.

A/N: I wrote this several years ago and don't have a large interest in doing much more with it. As long as it's not very poorly written, I'm fine with leaving it the way it is. If you like it, that's wonderful--there's a little button at the bottom that says "Review"--don't forget to click on that and leave me a note telling me what you think. But please, no flames--save the kindergarten behavior for another time and place. Thank you!

I watch the day spass by.
I am trapped by evil desire and familial love.
My father ages from words vicious little snakes that burrow in his mind.
And the snakeholder looks through wily eyes with desire for me.
I will not surrender!
I will fight silently,
striving to remain myself,
and not hidden behind the stereotype of a woman.

I want to BE someone worth being,
a great warrior who has seen many battles,
who has won many wars.
I want to be a queen.
I want to be famous.
I want OUT!

But I am yet trapped.
