Rain
Authors notes I don't own Avatar just my OC's and this is Appa Appa Away's reward one-shot fic for being reviewer 100 on my Zutara fic The Bond Of Honor which I recommend you read after you read this fic.
Sokka looked up at the sky and saw that it was going to rain on Koyshi island. Sokka hated the rain because it made him remember the day he lost his sister.
Flashback the western air temple 5 years earlier
Sokka looked around him and saw the rest of the group were eating lunch and happily talking well nearly everyone his sister was too busy kissing Zuko to pay any notice to her lunch but Sokka didn't mind.
But sadly this happy scene before didn't last long because suddenly fire fell on the air temple so fast it was like rain. Sokka then noticed the airships used by the Fire Nation during the invasion were here with Azula and the highest ranking general in the Fire Nation High General Kalo Tzhang leading the fleet apparently helping Azula get revenge for us supposedly killing his sister Mai during the invasion on the day of black sun.
Azula went after Aang and Toph while Kalo went after Zuko and Katara they had kalo outnumbered but he had them beat in skill and power.
and in a single move he ended his sisters life with his infamous Zorn technique after Katara died Zuko didn't fight back he just held Katara in his arms and with tears rolling down his face he looked at Kalo and yelled out "Do it!!" and Kalo shot lighting at Zuko killing him as well in an instant granting him what he wanted.
Azula then surprised us all as she then fought Kalo in an amazing fight and Azula killed the general by kicking him into the canyon below, she soon told us that she had the Dai Li murder Ozai's generals and she only wanted Kalo dead no one else so when we took Ozai out no one would rise to take his place.
We had won the battle and gained a fleet to fight against the Fire Lord when the comet arrived but at what cost.
In the final battle Aang used the Avatar State to destroy the palace city and himself in the process.
Azula became the Fire Lady and helped the rest of us in restoring peace to the world in her brothers memory with Iroh and Ty lee's help of course.
Mai who was revealed not to be dead like Kalo assumed took a Fire Nation boat out to sea and she was never seen again the last thing she said was she was going to find Kalo's spirit in the spirit world and tell him the truth
Toph was found dead 3 days after Aang died she had killed herself in her grief to be with him once more.
Sokka looked on as the rain dissipated and as the rain drops dripped off roofs and flooded whole areas of the island Sokka suddenly said "I miss Katara so much I know Zuko is taking care of you but I still miss you, I will see you all again but not yet, not yet".
Sokka then walked back to his house where his 3 children were waiting for him as their mother Suki had died in childbirth of their third child. As soon as he entered the house rain started to fall on the island once again.
