Hakuba decided to stop asking Kaito questions. It was a waste of time. The magician refused to give him a straight answer to his questions. Instead he turned his attention towards doing as the magician had said and finding out for himself. Eventually he discovered that he liked it better that way. The magician was a conundrum, but he was one that Hakuba resolved to figure out. Because he was a detective, and that was his job.
