LunaC: Okay, I was planning on writing a TsuStar songfic, but I couldn't find a good song. Im so sorry! So I made a ChronaxPatty (somewhat) one instead! And Im pretty sure that Chrona is a boy. Don't tell me otherwise!
LG: Luna doesn't own Soul Eater or Hero by Superchic(k).
LunaC: Warning-attempted suicide in story.
LG: What is up with you and suicide!
Chrona sat alone in the schoolyard. The others just walked by. It wasn't unusual. This is how school was every day. No one would sit with him. Bullies would pick on him. Others would make fun of him. Typical.
He was used to the same comments by his peers. Everyone was too scared to approach the freak because they would get picked on too. He always felt alone. Sure, he had Ragnarok. But his weapon wasn't really a friend. He, too, picked on the boy. But only playingly. But if he cared at all, Ragnarok would know that his teasing just made Chrona feel worse.
"Hey, freak. How does it feel to have your weapon living inside you?" one of the bullies teased.
"Or to know you betrayed Shibusen?" another spat.
Of course, it was always the same things. That he was a freak because his weapon was made out of his blood. That he was a traitor. Somehow he was allowed back at the school, but he wished he hadn't come. He used to think it was because his mother was a witch. But a witch who was a student here never got picked on. She was actually quite liked, and somewhat popular. Maka was never around like she used to be. She was always busy, and had a different schedule than him.
The thought of death always loomed. He and his old friends weren't as close as they used to be. Sure, he had a few short conversations with some of them. He saw Patty every other day, and she asked how he was doing. He would lie and say he was fine. But he seemed to have no real friends.
Would anyone notice if he just disappeared one day? Or if he came to school with a gun, would they care more about his death or the people that bullied him's deaths?
At the end of the day, he had enough. He stood outside the school with a knife.
"Chrona! What the heck are you thinking! Don't do it!" Ragnarok protested. But he ignored his weapon. If he did die, all his blood would drain out, and the weapon would be free. The black blood would somehow form a new body for him, leaving Chrona's an empty shell.
He brought the edge of the knife to his throat. Was this what he really wanted?
"Chrona Stop!"
He thought it was Ragnarok and ignored it. But then a small hand pulled the knife out of his hands. He looked to see who it was.
Patty now held the knife, her eyes filled with sorrow and surprise. The two just stood there for a while.
"Chrona, why are you doing this? You said you were fine," she said in a hurt voice.
"Were you ignoring the way everyone was treating me? I just cant deal with it," he replied.
"I did notice. That's why I asked you if you were okay. I was wondering if you were hurt or not."
He could see the blonde had matured a bit. Mostly the way she spoke. Unless she was actually this way and just acted childish to cover it.
"Sorry Patty. Like I said, I just cant deal with it."
"That's because you need a friend to help you," Patty said, giving him a hug. "I can help with that."
Heroes are made when you make a choice.
LunaC: I know, it was horrible.
LG: she had low self-confidence.
LunaC: please review!
