Because we all struggle with it...

Love

She was strong, beautiful, handsome, charming, a flirt, and fragile. She was always hiding; nothing could make her come out of her protected cage. "I don't want a commitment…" Those words had escaped her mouth one too many times. Her eyes were always cold, lifeless...dead. Every single time, she felt absolutely nothing. And it killed her. What was she doing so wrong? What was she missing? The night was so alive, fiery, lustful, but had no meaning. The kisses were nothing but stolen to her. They felt nothing of the sweet caress she had always heard of in those old fairy tale books. She felt no after effect, no urge to keep going. One was enough. It always was. One to keep her piling emotions at bay, and her body from going wild without contact. There was no warmth. No feeling. No safety. There was no spark to make her go wild, no heartbeat to lull her calmly to sleep, no scent to drift her off to a peaceful place. Nothing.

… "Haruka…" Warmth…

… "Haruka…" that smell…

… "…Ruka…" Michi…My Michi…

"Ruka look…" She turned her head to face the direction mentioned.

"Is it okay Michi…?" The mentioned angel turned her head to face the deep and husky voice addressing her.

As she tucked a hair behind her ear, she smiled, "Of course it's ok…I don't remember watching sunsets to be illegal…" she giggled. So sweet…sweet and lovely Michiru…

"Then it's a promise." The voice was low and unheard.

"Hmm?" I promise you…

"It's nothing." If you die…

"But you said something didn't you?" I will follow…

"You must be getting old then, you're getting a bit delirious…" she chuckled…I promise you Michiru...

"Is that so…" she turned back to the sunset….When your sun sets…

"It is…" Mine will too…

"…" It's a crazy thought…trust me…I know…

"Michi…" But you see I've been cursed…

"Hm…?" It's a curse most of us don't want to give in to…it's a curse we all want to fight…either for or against…a struggle…

Their fingers entwined in the dim light, "…" I've been cursed with a thing called love…

Their bodies drew closer as the sun set in the distance…and their lips touched as the shadows of the night engulfed them, cursing them to eternity. Yet why do I feel so blessed…
