In the company of Demons

Prologue
The Yondaime stared with dying eyes at the small alter. He could feel his life draining away as Shingami stood behind him. Turning he faced the god of death. "May I have just a moment to say good bye to my son?"
Shingami paused for a moment then spoke in a voice that chilled the now dying leader. "Yes but only for a moment then we must be off."
The young man sighed as he leaned over the alter once more. The small child was crying as the last of the seal vanished from sight. "Naruto I am sorry I have had to place this burden on you."
As he was speaking he noticed a young nin making his way towards him and the Yondaime sighed in relief now that someone was here to take care of his son. But his eyes filled with horror as the nin pulled a Kunai from his belt and charged the alter. The Yondaime threw himself over his child only to hear the sound of metal meeting flesh and cutting through it. Looking up he say the nin who was looking down at his chest and at the blade protruding through it. The nin's eyes rolled back into his head and the body collapsed revealing the person holding the sword that was still embedded in the now dead nin.
The Yondaime slumped to the floor beside the alter at the sight of the merc he had hired to help defeat the Kyuubi. "Drekk I must ask you for a favor."
The merc was getting nervous as he watched the image of the Shingami standing behind his employer. "I fear that Naruto my son will die if he is left in this village so I am asking you as a friend, please take him and raise him so that he may grow strong." Fumbling in his robes the Yondaime found the scroll he was looking for and tossed it to the merc. Here is all the information on the seal and some of my personal jutsu for him to learn when he is old enough. I was planning on giving it to Suartobi but since Naruto is not going to be raised in the village I will send it with you."
Drekk nodded and gently gathered the now sleeping child into his arms seeing the Shingami place it's hand on the Yondam's shoulder Drekk dropped to his knees in front of the dying man and held his son out to him in such a way that in the last few moments of his life he would see the peaceful face of his sleeping son.
Saurtobi rushed up onto the platform when the Shingami disappeared. Only to find the alter empty and a dead nin lying next to it. He began to panic till he noticed the smiling face of his student and realized that everything is as it should be.
Outside of Konoha a young man could be seen walking away from the village a small bundle held protectively in his arms. 'well Okami it looks like our days have become a little bit more complicated.'
