notes: Yay for randomness!
notes2: This drabble was born from me thinking that literal-Juvia melted into a puddle from Gray's sight anyway.
notes3: Well, I've never written Gray before, so good luck to me.
disclaimer: Owning Fairy Tail would be like having so much power in my hands. I could make Gray do anything imaginable, like [bleep] and [bleep] and [bleep]. See? I am irresponsible with great power and I could not handle it. This is why I don't (and shouldn't) own Fairy Tail.
summary: A special sculpture you spent days making? Then you shouldn't let it melt, Gray!
He took a step back, appraising his handiwork with an appreciative look.
It was an ice sculpture of Juvia, an almost identical replica (because it was never possible to perfect a human sculpture and that would just be ridiculous, right?) of the real thing but having cold, frozen water for insides and respiration-that-wasn't-there instead of flesh and steady breathing. It wasn't quite as lifelike as he thought because it wasn't alive.
He wouldn't admit it, but he kinda wished this Juvia would start swooning over him. It didn't seem like Juvia if she wasn't fainting at his sight.
Now he wouldn't be putting too much effort into this little project if it was an ordinary present for an ordinary day or some stupid reason like wanting to give a gift to a girl without an occasion (something that idiot Flame-Brain does; Lucy had that much of an effect). It was his special birthday gift for the girl, and it took him longer than he thought it would (because he wanted to get every detail perfectly, but seeing as that didn't—couldn't—happen—).
And, he mightsortawill take this special opportunity to confess to the girl.
Sure, everyone knew that Juvia liked him, and, only recently, he might've realized this himself, but wouldn't it be nice for the water mage for him to do the next step? To take it up another level past formal friendship and informal stalking? After all, her dedication to him deserved that much, maybe even more.
A shaky laugh left his lips. So the day did come when Juvia's love broke through his density and reached his heart.
An affectionate look on his face, he laid a hand on the sculpture's cold cheek, and watched in horror as it turned to water at his feet.
Even Ice-Juvia melted under his touch.
notes: Then Gray has to start all over again. And he has to get all the details accurately again *wink wink* How do you think he does? trololol
notes2: Sooooo how was it?
notes3: Reviews make me melt with happiness.
notes4: If that wasn't enough of a reason, then reviews make Gray suffer less.
notes5: Or more, if you like it that way.
