Gods' Godchildren
Chapter 1: I'm attacked by an old man
The sea was very bustling, the waves were 16 feet tall but they would fade away before reaching the beach. A storm was starting, dark clouds were gathering and thunders were rumbling in the sky. Suddenly, there was a flash and ahead of me appeared a horse and an eagle fighting fiercely. Every time the eagle invested with its beak and claws against the horse another flash of lightning would appear in the sky. Likewise, every time the eagle got near, the horse would kick it and the floor would shake.
The scene changed. A river was shining brightly, but the light was emanating cold and sad. A strange dark smoke was escaping from the middle of the river, where a girl was drowning. After the girl disappeared and the smoke escaped, there was a new flash and I was back to the beach.
I was walking down the beach; a man stood beside me, he was tall, had black hair and green eyes. He was wearing a flowered shirt, beige shorts and slippers. I didn't know who he was, but he seemed familiar. I was wandering when he turned to me and said:
-It's time.
Then a huge wave came from the sea and swallowed me. I saw myself fading into darkness, choking and calling the man that was gone, until I woke up.
It had all been just a dream; the beach, the wave, the man, the eagle, the horse, the girl and the smoke, all just a dream. I got up and changed clothes, I was going out. I took a look in the mirror, my brown hair was messy and my green eyes were swollen from sleep. I was wearing jeans, a green shirt and a black jacket that my mom hated. I went downstairs; my mom and dad were in the kitchen.
-Morning. –I said.
-Morning sweetie. –My mom replied.
-Morning son. –My dad said.
I ate my breakfast and left for a walk.
I was walking through the city until I decided to stop at a square; I would only have class in the afternoon, so I was in no hurry. My town wasn't very big, and was very safe, especially in my block, or at least that's what I thought.
When I got to the square, there were just a few people there; they were mostly walking with their dogs or playing with their children. I noticed an old man sitting in a seat; he was wearing a grey suit and a hat. I sat next to him and started to listen to some music in my iPod.
Suddenly, the man calls me:
It was about time! –He said with a strong, slightly irritating French accent.
I looked at him and noticed a strange thing: one of his eyes was blue and the other brown.
-Time for what? –I asked backing away.
-Stop pretending you don't know demigod. I was waiting for you. –He said getting up.
-Demi what? –I asked scared, but I hadn't had time to think because he started throwing things that looked like thorns on me.
I ran as fast as I could, but he was faster, he was pretty fast for an old man, and, at last, he got me. We lost balance and fell into a fountain. I managed to get out of it, but he didn't. He would use all of his strength, but he wouldn't move a finger, it was almost like the water was holding him down.
I took a deep breath and ran as fast as I could.
Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of my story. I know it's pretty short and that my English is not the best, but I'm trying really hard. I'll try to post a new chapter every week and I promise they'll be better. And don't forget to review.
