Cheating

this was written for SheWhoMustNotBeNamed's challenge for odd pairings. its just something I thought of while reading the challenge Its a Xu-Squall pairing.
Sqaull's breath turned into steam as he breathed slowly in the cold Dollet night. He was waiting at the base of the Comm tower hill just out of sight of anybody who was looking toward the hill. A chilling fog had crept up from the sea below and now engulffed the brigde so athough there was no change of him being seen a neverous twang dung at the back of his mind. His hair whipped around his face as the wind rose up. Squall's mind played out the possible worst case scenario of Rinoa showing up and finding him here when he was supposed to be over four hundred miles away in Centra. He sighed quietly and more steam formed.
Arcoss town from Squall two peolpe played a game of cat and mouse. The mouse, Xu was desperatly trying to evade the cat who was unknown to her but she knew they were there following her. Xu wore a black knee lenght dress and a high collared coat. She ran quickly trough the streets followed by her presuer. Xu wondered in the back of the back of her mind if her shadow was Rinoa or one of her friends. She new it wouldn't be Quisty she was the only one who knew their secret and gaurded it well. Xu ducked into an alley and down behind a car. The shadow ran past but it was too dark for her to see who the person was. Coming out from her hiding place Xu ran in the opposite direction toward the bridge.
Squall's ears picked up the sound of her feet runing on the coblestone bridge. He moved his up and saw the woman he loved run out of the fog. She jumped into his arms and he swung her around. Xu reached up and brushed some of her hair away from her eyes. "I missed you." She said quitely. Squall shushed her and taking one hand in his led her up the path. About half way up they stoped. "Here, now we're safe love." Squall said sitting down on the bench that was placed at the edge of the cliff. "I'm glad we're together again because I've missed you so much." Xu whispered in Squall's ear. He reached over a gently caressed her cheek before pulling her into a deep passionate kiss.
Hidding above them behind a rocky outcrop was Xu's shadower. They looked down with wide eyes as the two kissed passionately and caressed each other. The person slowly watched with shock then sank back into to the night quietly whipsering the words. "Rinoa must know."
Down below Squall pulled away from Xu and whispered quietly "Did you here something." She just shook her head.
