Summary: Rose fixes a "typo" on her birthday present.

Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who or the CD Rose receives. The songs may not even be right.

Author's Note: In Australia, there are occasionally ads promoting subscriptions to receive old CDs and videos/DVDs. You need to know this to understand this ficlet.

Typo

"Where are we going today Doctor?" asked Rose.

"Before we go anywhere, I have something for you Rose," said the Doctor. He pulled a hand out from behind his back. He was holding a shoebox that was covered in wrapping paper.

"Happy birthday darling!" he exclaimed, handing her the box.

"Oh Doctor, thank you!" said Rose, kissing the Doctor. She unwrapped the box and opened it. She then started taking out the items that were inside.

"Oh, a necklace!" she said. "It's beautiful." She smiled and took out the next item. It was a single red rose.

"Simple, yet elegant," she remarked. She then took out the last item. It was a CD, entitled Greatest Love Songs of All Time.

"Oh, wow!" she exclaimed. "What have we got here … When a Man Loves a Woman, I Will Always Love You …"

"Yeah, I was watching TV one day, and that annoying Time Life ad came on, you know, listing all the songs, saying 'Call within the next 10 minutes and we'll cut $10 off the cost!'" said the Doctor.

"Uh huh," said Rose. "Pretty Woman …"

" ' … pay by credit card we'll throw in another CD absolutely free!'" continued the Doctor. " 'That's almost $60 value at just $19.95!' So I thought …" Rose took out a pen and started writing on the CD cover, "…what the hell, why not try it? We've got a subscription now. I can cancel it if you want, there's no minimum to buy … hey, what are you doing?"

"Just fixing something," replied Rose. "Right, I'm just gonna go have a shower." Rose handed the Doctor the CD and walked off. He looked on the back to see what she'd done. About halfway done was the song Rambling Rose. Except Rose had crossed the word Rose out, and written in Doctor.

"Oh ha ha," muttered the Doctor.
