My Life is in You
Inspired by Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta
From Finnick's POV
Hold me, hug me, just tell me I'm yours
Your love, your caress, is the perfect cure
The perfect cure for sadness, for pain
The sadness that engulfs any light with rain
The pain that kills comfort by hurling knives
You keep it from ruining our whole lives
Without you I am lost, I cannot be sane
Without you, my life would sink down a drain
You claim to be crazy, that it is you who needs me
But I find in your existence the power to be free
To not let the ruler win, to allow him to kill hope
To move on and on, to find a way to cope
I look in your eyes and see someone like myself
But that person is not afraid of themself
With you, I am brave through the cold
Through all I am forced into, all I am told
I hope to save us soon, me and you will fly
To parts un-known, we'll kiss sorrow goodbye
Me and you, we need each other like air
So we have to try, try to always be there
But if we ever part, for death, or absolutely any reason
Know I will love you no matter what comes next season
My love will float to you on wings of the sun
Whenever you hear a laugh or water run
I will always be with you, never cower or hide
Because when we're together we can take it in stride
We will always be together because we are the same
So no one can part us, we were melded in the flame
Tell me you'll keep going, you'll never forget what we have
Because they can make my heart stop, but not your halve
In you I will always live, so make me proud
just in case one day I'm consumed by the crowds
