Downfall of a Kingdom
A Poetic Prologue of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
By: Kokeshi088
Author's Note: This is how I visualized the story in the Wind Waker. You've read it if you played the game. Duh. Um, it rhymes, sort of. Anyways, this is my take on the beginning. The whole thing starts at the point in the story mode when the heroic music becomes sad music. Blaaah, just read, you'll get it. Kind of depressing, you know, Hyrule ending up like this. But then the end of TWW was kind of depressing. I like Hyrule, if it was real, I'd live there. But, you know, that's just me. Termina is more industrial to me. Anyways, that whole mask bit is sort of creepy, but Majora's Mask is the game that got me into Zelda, so, no complaints here.
Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING HERE. Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, and anyone else who contributed to the manufacture of the Wind Waker do. I'm just an obsessed writer, writing pretty poetry about the game. Heh, I bet you people are pretty surprised to something new spout out of my MS Word after another story came out two days ago. Ah, I just love writing. Poetry is natural to me…

Downfall of a Kingdom~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darkness rising,
Light is falling,
The Hero we are,
Always calling…
Link,
The boy in green,
Come back to us,
You are whom we need.
Hyrule is in
Great despair.
Link,
Thou art where?
The Goddesses,
To whom we pray,
Darkness descends,
Our lives,
To thee they depend.
Dark winds,
Torment rides the fierce gale,
Will he come back?
Or did we fail?
Hyrule is lost.
Forgotten,
Yet the Hero always
Be remember'd.
As the scrolls of Hyrule
Lay in embers.
Ages past,
Those days are gone,
Peace is here…
But not for long.

A/N: Did you like it? Hate it? Don't care? Well, just read and review, click that little bar down there. I highly recommend reviewing, because even if you didn't like it, a review can help me write something that may please you next time my MS Word spits out something new for ff.net. Anyways, thanks!
P.S. Poetry's my strong point; writing a story isn't as easy as making a poem for me. So expect more fan poetry, and maybe a story or something like that. Go to fictionpress.net to read some more of my poems.
