I walked into my new flat and put down the few bags I had decided to bring. Moving with a light load was always easier and I found I could always replace materialistic items, so it wasn't a big deal. I walked around my flat and liked the set up. I had called a private designer and she furnished and took care of all the home looks. The only problem I have right now is I haven't hunted in three days, so I'll have to go after school. When it was all put away along with my other belongings I turned the TV on and hooked up my Xbox One. I organized my games and took out Black Ops Zombies. I began to play on Campaign and when I looked at the time it was already five in the morning. I turned off my game and went to the bathroom to take a shower getting ready for my first day at Forks High School. I was starting out as a sophomore in high school. I looked my age, 17, which for any vampire was young.
When I was out of the shower I dried off and put on a pair of black skinny jeans, black Volcum tee shirt with a dark grey pocket, and my black vans. I did my hair in a perfect quiff and brushed my teeth. I noticed my eyes were getting a darker shade of blue because I haven't hunted yet and it's been three days, so I put on my black nerdy looking glasses to finish my outfit off. I grabbed my black backpack that had my school supplies and went to my car locking my flat behind me.
I got in my car and started to drive. When my school was in sight I slowed down and turned into the parking lot. When I parked my car I grabbed my bag and got out. Just as I locked my car I looked to my right and saw a group of teenagers staring at me. I know I'm the new kid and all, but they were seriously STARING me down. I ignored them and walked toward the school to the front office to pick up my schedule. I opened the office door and the lady at the front desk looked up at the sound of the door opening.
"How may I help you?" She asked me sounding unenthusiastic.
"Hello, My names Silus Bohen and I came to pick up my schedule." I told her with a small smile.
"Here you go. Enjoy your day." She told me and frowned.
After that awkward lady in the front office I took my schedule and went to find my locker. When I found it I put my backpack inside and took out a notebook and pen. I then closed my locker and headed to my first period which was Chemistry. When I got into class I saw two of the guys from that group staring at me on my way into school, sitting in the back of the room. I gave the teacher my pass into class and he told me to sit by some guy named Emmett. I saw a boy raise his hand and I guess that his name was Emmett. He was one of the guys from the parking lot. Great.
I went to the back and sat down in my new seat. The class started and I felt Emmett staring at me the whole time.
"Hey…" I said quietly making sure he knew that I noticed him.
"What are you?" He asked me sounding confused.
"My names Silus it's nice to meet you." I told him.
The bell rang and I left my seat not answering his question.
I sensed it earlier how they were vampires, but why were they so curious about me? I haven't done anything and they don't own this place saying who can come and go.
When school was over I went to the parking lot and unlocked my car. I got in and stared to drive down the road when a Volvo started to ride my ass.
"What is he doing?" I muttered to myself and put my blinker on about to turn into the left lane when the Volvo rammed into the back of my car. I pulled my car over to the side and looked in my rear view mirror. A boy from the vampires group came out of the Volvo and started walking to my car. I took a deep breath and got out of my car. I looked at my cars damage and saw a tail light was shattered along with a huge dent and scratches.
"I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was driving. Are you okay?" He asked me.
"I'm fine. I really have to go. Don't worry about the damages on my car. I'll get it fixed." I told him.
"You can't drive with a broken tail light. It's against the law." He told me.
That was the least of my worries.
"I'm going to call my sister to pick up your car and I will drive you to my house. My sister Rosalie fixes cars for fun and your car won't take her long to fix. It's the least I can do. I'm not taking no for an answer, so please don't start arguing with me and get in." The guy told me.
I opened my trunk and grabbed my back pack. I was now pissed off, annoyed, and hungry as hell.
I sighed again and got into the guys car.
"My names Edward Cullen. Your names Silus. You have class with my brothers Emmett and Jasper." He told me starting his car.
I nodded.
He started to drive down the road and I saw my car being picked up by a big Jeep.
"You just moved to Forks right?" Edward asked me.
I nodded.
"Who'd you move with?" He asked me.
"I came alone." I told him.
"Where are your parents?" He asked me.
"Dead." I told him looking out the window.
"Oh, I'm sorry if I intruded." He told me.
By the time he said that he pulled in front of a big house that was three stories and I saw the Jeep pull into a Garage on the side and the doors to the Garage closed with my car inside. Edward got out and I followed.
He opened the front door and walked up a flight of stairs where four other vampires were waiting.
"I'm Carlisle Cullen and this is my wife Esme, son Jasper, and daughter Alice. You've already met Edward obviously and Emmett my other son is with my other daughter Rosalie in the garage. Welcome to Forks." Carlisle told me and came to shake my hand and I kept them in my pockets and he walked back to where his wife was.
"While Emmett and Rosalie are fixing your car we wish to talk with you about certain matters." Carlisle said taking a seat.
"You know we are vampires, but what are you? What are your reasons for coming to Forks?" Carlisle asked me.
"I came for the weather, what I am, who I am, and what I do is my business. I'm sorry if that offends you." I told him.
"I have the right to know what you are and what your feeding source is." Carlisle told me.
"Carlisle…" Esme tried to say, but Carlisle gave her a look.
"Please sit then." Esme told me gently.
I sat down on a stool and started to talk.
"I was apart of the Volturi guard. Marcus told me where I came from when I was 14. After that I wanted to leave and Aro wouldn't hear it, so he locked me in a cell for 2 years and they finally let me go, but said they would have a close watch on me and the first slip up, I have to go back." I told them and their expressions changed.
"Where did you come from? Who changed you?" Carlisle asked me.
"I was born a vampire, so my real age is 16. Marcus told me they took me when I was an infant and raised me because they feared what I might become because I was born to two vampires." I told him and he nodded.
"It's all true." Edward said and I looked at him confused.
"I read minds, Alice can see the future, and Jasper is an empath." Edward told me.
"Oh." I said and nodded.
"Do you know who your real parents are?" Esme asked me and I shook my head.
"They won't tell me. But, I have no idea what they are going to be like. I don't even want to know if I want to meet them anyways." I told her and she nodded sad.
"Do you have any abilities?" Carlisle asked me and I nodded.
"I have telekinesis, I can control the elements, and I can communicate telepathically by pushing into others minds." I told him and he looked intrigued.
"Carlisle we finished fixing the car." Emmett said coming into the room. "Thank you Rosalie, Emmett." Carlisle told Emmett and the girl Rosalie.
They nodded back to him and I stood up from the stool.
"This is our territory and we preferred you didn't hunt in the area." Carlisle told me and I clenched my jaw and nodded.
"No problem." I said standing up.
"May I leave now?" I asked Carlisle and he nodded.
I nodded back to him and the big guy Emmett tossed me my keys. I left the house and hopped in my car. I drove away from the property and back to my apartment. I got out and locked my car behind me. I walked up the stairs to my door and unlocked it. I walked inside and closed the door behind me. I changed into a black tee and put on my black pair of vans. I took off my glasses and set them on my counter. I then grabbed my keys again and headed out locking the door behind me. I got into my car again and started driving out of the town. I had no idea where I was going.
I found a spot to park across from a club and I saw a man and a woman making out in the ally way. I got out of my car and walked to where they were. I felt venom pool in my mouth and my hunger spiked. I was about to attack them when I sensed a vampire behind me. I ran to my car and got the hell out of there. FUCK! I sped down the road and I had nowhere else to go so I sped home. When I got home I locked my car and ran straight inside bolting the door shut. I was going to lose it. I needed blood, but since I can't hunt in Forks or anywhere else because the population was claimed already I guess I'm cut off. Well Fuck ME! I got into the shower and when I was calm enough I just put my earbuds in and blasted Nirvana all night. When it was finally morning I noticed it was raining outside. I knew I should go to school, but I couldn't control myself. I drove and drove and when I felt my hunger spike again I felt myself losing control again and I pulled my car over and ran into the woods. When I was deep enough in the woods I stopped running. I caught a scent and it overpowered me. I felt my vision go and I felt my teeth rip through and slice the being like it was butter. I then drank. I drank until the corpse was dry. When I was done drinking I released and opened my eyes. Laying under me was a man. I felt myself fill with aching pain from the act that I had just committed. I scooted away from the now dead body and sat against a tree. My venom set the man on fire and he turned to ash. I brought my knees to my chest and hid my face in the knees. I killed another person. I never wanted to kill. I hate it. Why do I have to be this way?! I never chose this! I didn't deserve this.
I went back to my apartment and jumped into the shower and changed into ripped black jeans and a black tee shirt. I slipped on black and white checkered vans and when I was done I heard someone talking in my living room. I was drying my hair with a towel and went to greet whoever the hell was in my apartment. When I opened my bedroom door I saw Marcus. I was so confused. "I came to talk." He told me and I raised an eyebrow. "About?" I asked him and he nodded. "Your parents." He told me and I sat down on a stool. "When you were only a few months old Aro discovered that Carlisle and Esme Cullen has successfully carried a baby full term. He kidnapped you from your crib and well…" He told me and his voice trailed off. I felt frozen. Numb. "I will leave you, but know that Aro, Jane, Alec, and Tripp went over there to diminish their numbers. You need to go protect your family." He told me and I nodded. "Hey Marcus, thanks." I told him and he nodded.
I ran to the Cullen house and noticed it was empty. I followed Carlisle's scent and it brought me to an open clearing and sure enough were the Cullen's and the Volturi.
"Now that Silus is here we can get started." Aro told me and I shook my head.
I approached Aro and stood between them and the Cullen's.
"You aren't touching anyone." I told him hissing and he laughed.
"You are not in charge here son! You answer to me!" He told me raising his voice and I shook my head.
"I am not your son!" I yelled back at him and he looked over to the Cullen's.
"Now leave!" I told him and he smiled.
"Make us." He told me laughing.
Tripp grabbed Alice and that set me off. I sent electric pulses through my body so fast and pulsing to the max that Tripp was on the ground within a mil of a second. Alice broke free and ran back to Jasper's side. I used all my strength and set him on fire and formed a ring around the two of us. Tripp kept screaming, but I made it so hot that he burst into nothing. I set the fire out and created a line dividing the Volturi from my family and I growled. "Leave!" I roared at him and Aro glared at me.
"Is this what you choose? To be with them?" Aro asked me and I nodded.
"Aro, you took me away from my parents when I was a baby. You're just pissed off that I found out. The least you can do is leave them and myself alone. You owe me that." I told him growling.
"If you wish." He told me and before I could do anything Aro stepped to the side and standing there was Hailee. Before I could say or do anything Felix ripped into her neck biting her and then they all ran out of the clearing. I put the fire out and it started to get cloudy and it began to rain.
Venom tears began running down my cheeks.
I went over to Hailee who was screaming and writhing in pain.
I fell to the ground and picked her up and held her against my body.
"I'm so sorry." I told her crying and she looked up at me.
"Please, Hailee." I told her whispering.
"No." She told me through her clenched teeth and I felt the tears flow faster.
I held her against my chest and rocked her. I quickly snapped her neck and she fell lifeless. I kissed the top of her head and stood up and set her body on fire and it was ashes within seconds.
I turned to face the Cullen's.
"I'm sorry they came here and threatened you, they won't bother you anymore." I told them.
"I should go." I told them and Carlisle stepped forward.
"Thank you." He told me and I nodded and venom tears flowed out of my eyes.
He took a step and gave me an embracing hug. When he let go Esme was there and if she could cry she would by the expression on her face. She gave me a big hug and when she let go I nodded.
"I have to go." I told them and I wiped the tears away and ran out of the clearing and back to my house.
When I got back home I took a shower and put black ripped jeans and a black Vans hoodie with a plain black shirt underneath it.
I turned my Xbox on and turned on Netflix.
The next morning it was super sunny out without a cloud in the sky, so I had to stay home, which I was not going to complain about.
The more I ran everything through my head the more I was irritated and the more depressed I got.
I was hungry again and I had just hunted. My irritation was so high right now.
I heard a knock at my door and when I opened it I saw a woman and she had a head wound which was bleeding.
Venom filled my mouth and my thirst was pulsing so hard. I tried to concentrate and I was losing control really fast. I put my hands inside my pockets and pulsed electricity through my body which helped a little, but not much.
"My car broke down a few miles out, I need to get to the hospital. Could you help me?" The woman asked me and I clenched my jaw.
I closed the door and went over to the sink and washed my mouth out with water and spit the venom out. I used my abilities to create a cloud cover and that would handle the sun issue. I opened the door again and pulled my hoodie over my head and handed it to her. I locked my apartment door behind me and I held my keys.
"I can drive you to the hospital. Put that on your head, keep pressure." I told her through my teeth.
"Thank you so much." The woman told me and I walked downstairs and to my car.
She got in on the passenger side and I rolled the windows down to get the scent away and to have the fresh air help with the thirst.
We were at the hospital in under five minutes and I parked the car. I got out and she did as well.
I walked her inside and a nurse helped her.
My hunger was going insane and I was losing it. I was surrounded by blood. I've never felt this pain so badly. I sent a huge shock wave through my body and it left me on my knees. I felt someone grab me and they dragged me out of the hospital and away from the building.
"You're okay, breathe. You're okay." Carlisle told me and I was shaking.
"Edward, Emmett, take him back to the house. I'll be right behind you." Carlisle told his sons and I didn't argue.
I was pulsing in pain and ready to tear through someone at any moment. I couldn't stop shaking.
They put me in their car and they drove out of the parking lot and pushed the car fast down the highway, windows down to let the fresh air in.
I started to feel a little better, but I looked down and saw she had gotten blood on me and it drove my senses crazy. Edward pulled into their driveway and he put the car in park.
I got out and ripped my shirt off and set it on fire and it was ash in seconds.
"That is so cool." I heard Emmett say and I saw he had a small grin on his face.
"Here you go, you can get cleaned up in Carlisle and Esme's bathroom." Alice told me and she handed me clothes and she showed me inside and upstairs and then left me alone.
I took my shoes off along with the rest of my clothes and set them aside and I took a shower. I got all the blood off of me and when I got out I dried off with a towel and saw my jeans, boxers, and shoes were gone. I got dressed into the plain white tee with the little Nike logo, black Nike hoodie, and black Volcum ripped jeans. I slid on the checkered black and white vans. I dried my hair with the towel, but it was still wet. I ran my fingers through my hair and hung the towel on the rack. I stuffed my phone, keys, and earbuds into my pocket. There were glasses on the counter, they were identical to the ones I had at home. I put them on over my now foggy dark blue eyes, which made me look blind. I felt in control and I had a burn in the back of my throat that would last until I hunted again, but I could manage until then. I was so scared I was going to lose it, but I didn't because of Carlisle and his vampire family. I let a small smirk appear on my lips, I was grateful.
I walked out of the bathroom which was attached to their bedroom. Their room was big and it had a peaceful vibe. The walls were a light soft tan, which went nicely on the white carpet. They had a bed against one wall that was big with a white comforter that laid with accent pillows decorated. They had pictures on their walls and I walked over to the ones on their dressers. There was one in the back and it was Esme and she was pregnant. I picked it up and looked at it.
"That was the day before Esme gave birth, to you." Carlisle told me walking into the room.
I smirked a little. It was comforting to know where I came from. But the fact that I wasn't really like the Volturi. That was obvious.
I set the picture down and turned to Carlisle.
"Thank you, for getting me out of there. How is the woman?" I told him and he nodded.
"She will be fine, just a few stitches. It was brave and risky what you did, but I know she appreciated it." He told me and I nodded.
"How did you stay in control as long as you did? That took a lot of restraint, I imagine." He asked me and I nodded slightly.
I held my hands out in front of me and created a ball of electricity which was blue, red, and yellow. I then made it disappear as it had come.
"I sent electricity through my body, the pain helps distract me, and it buys me a few seconds, but it doesn't last." I told him.
"Let's go to my office, Esme and I wanted to talk with you." He told me and I nodded.
I walked out of the room with him and followed him down the hall to his office. It was a big office, but comfortable. He had a big desk and behind was a window wall. The other walls were full of books and one wall had a picture of the Volturi, but Carlisle was standing in the background. He had a chair behind his desk and two chairs on the other side.
Carlisle gestured for me to sit and I did. He sat in his chair and Esme sat next to me.
"Aro has that same picture in his office. When I was young I asked him why your eyes were gold, he said that you had a deficiency, but he told me you were always loyal and I believed him, and at least he's telling the truth about one thing." I told Carlisle and he smirked.
"What was it like for you growing up?" He asked me and nodded.
"Well, there was never a dull moment. When I was a kid, Aro had me tutoring with a woman, her name was Celia. She was his wife at the time. Anyways there was always lots of studying and he had the guards train me physically, so when I was older I would be equipped to be on the guard. It was constant training and studying. There was a girl I met one day in the castle, her mother was the hostess. I would sneak off and we would explore the town at night, when Aro was busy with trials, or was out travelling. The girl was human, but it was nice to just have a friend, no matter the physical pain. When I expressed to Aro that I didn't want to hurt humans and that I wanted to live off of animals, he flipped out. He locked me up for two weeks and then forced me to kill with them when the tour came through. The day he found out about the girl was a terrible day. Her mother was killed and I was comforting her when Aro walked in. He seemed thrilled rather than angry, yet he was still angry. He locked me in a cell with the girl for 3 days. Unfed and that's when I found out I had electric manipulation. We continued to see each other and Aro told me that when the time came when she was old enough, he would turn her into a vampire, I can't turn a human, because there's something in my venom that burns the corpse and turns them to ash. I told her I wouldn't let that happen. And it didn't, Hailee's is dead because of me…" I told him and my voice trailed off.
"Besides the point. While I was 15, I found out that I was taken which made Aro mad. He locked me up again and starved me out, 2 months, because I found out he had taken me as a baby. I finally got him to let me leave a year and a half later and here we are." I added.
"You've been through so much. Yet you stayed strong." Esme told me and I shrugged.
"Thank you for telling us, I know none of this has been easy." Carlisle told me and I nodded.
"We wanted to ask you if you wanted to live with us. We are relocating to Alaska, but we want you to come with us." Carlisle told me.
"I don't want to intrude." I told him and he shook his head.
"I lost you for 17 years of your life. I don't want to miss anymore. We would never offer if we thought it would intrude. You're our son." Carlisle told me.
"I have one condition. I want to feed on animals, but I don't think I can gain control or do it, alone." I told him and he nodded.
"Of course." Esme told me.
"It's not going to be easy. It will be painful. Are you prepared to fight for it?" Carlisle asked me and I nodded.
"I don't want to be a monster." I told him.
They both came over to me and hugged me and when they released they both were smiling.
"Welcome home son." Esme told me.
"This belongs to you. We had it made when you were a baby, but it should fit now." Carlisle told me and he held a ring in his palm out to me.
It had the Cullen crest.
I grabbed it out of his hand and put it on my left middle finger.
"Thank you." I told them and they smiled.
"Let's go pack." Carlisle told me and Esme.
I walked downstairs with my parents and everyone else was in the living room.
When I got to the bottom of the steps Alice was admiring her handy work.
"Thank you Alice." I told her and she gave huge ear to ear smile.
"I knew you would like it! Welcome home!" She told me and she hugged me quickly and went back to Jasper's side.
"Welcome home little bro." Emmett told me and he gave me a bear hug.
"Thanks Emmett." I told him grinning.
"Now we can have an even number of players for baseball." Jasper told me and I smiled.
"Welcome back." Rosalie and Edward told me.
"Okay, so we leave at midnight. Get to packing." Carlisle told everyone and they did.
"An Emmett, so help me, if you break my table again. I will make you replace it and you will be grounded for a long time." Esme told Emmett and I smirked because Emmett went from big and confident to small and scared.
"Yes Ma'am." Emmett told her in a small voice.
"Rose and I will help you with your apartment then." Emmett told me and I nodded.
"Okay, for sure." I told him.
"We'll take the Jeep." Emmett said smiling and Rosalie, rolled her eyes.
We got into the Jeep and Rose started to drive down the highway and Emmett was standing and half of his body was outside the sunroof. I let a chuckle out, which made them both smile.
When we were there, we went up the stairs and I unlocked the door. It only took us five minutes to pack minimum. I only had four boxes which held everything I owned. Which included my Xbox and clothes. I locked the apartment back up and we put the boxes into the Jeep. We went to the Apartment Office and I held my breath when I walked up to the counter where a lady was sitting.
"How may I help you?" The woman asked me.
"I am returning the keys to apartment 3B." I told the woman using a small bit of air.
"Okay, I'm going to need your driver's license and I need you to fill out a few forms." The woman told me and I took my wallet out of my pocket and handed her my license.
She handed me my license back and I put it back into my wallet.
I filled the forms out and handed them back to her and I gave her the keys.
When I handed her the papers she pulled back and she got a cut on her hand. Instinct kicked in and I breathed in and immediately regretted it. My thirst raged and begged for me to feed. My mouth filled with venom and my hands balled into fists. Emmett and Rose grabbed me and forced me out of the door, the woman was too busy to notice. When we got outside I was heaving and fresh air filled me and the scent started to fade, but I could still taste it.
"We need to get back." Rosalie said and Emmett helped me into the Jeep and Rose drove out of the parking lot and onto the highway. Windows down and that cleared my senses up.
My control was coming back and when I felt stable I sighed in relief.
"Thanks." I told them and they both nodded.
"We've got your back." Rosalie told me and I looked out the window watching as the trees flew by.
When we got to the house we started loading boxes from inside into the cars. Everyone packed light. We would eventually return according to Carlisle and what we didn't bring was donated. Which was basically everything.
"Okay, so it's a full 48 hours driving to get to Alaska. I want to split up to hunt before we leave. Esme, Jasper, Silus, and myself, East rim. Edward, Rose, Emmett, and Alice, South rim. We meet here in 2 hours. Understood." Carlisle said and everyone nodded.
My nerves started to kick in and Carlisle put his hand on my shoulder and squeezed it.
"You'll be fine." He told me muttering and I clenched my jaw.
Carlisle grabbed Esme's hand and they started running and Jasper and I were right behind them. When we got to where we wanted to hunt I jumped into a tree to get a view.
Esme and Carlisle were stalking their prey, which were two big bison. They ran and caught the animals snapping their necks before sinking their teeth into the necks. Which made me wince. I could hear them drinking and it made my thirst ignite. I clenched my jaw and balled my hands into fists.
"It's okay, find your prey and your body will take over, hunting is instinct." Jasper told me soothing my nerves and I nodded.
I scanned the area around us and I spotted a big black bear. I jumped from tree to tree and stalked it. I jumped and before the bear could react I crushed it's spine and sunk my teeth into it's neck. It took a second to release when the taste hit my mouth. I ignored it, fueled by hunger and I bit and drank until it was empty.
When I was done I got up and stepped back. It caught into flames and burned the corpse to ashes within seconds.
The bear took the edge off my thirst, but I was still so hungry. I ended up with 2 big black bears, 3 mountain lions, 1 moose, and 2 bison. I was the last one to finish, but when I did I felt good. I felt full. I knew it wouldn't last long, but it would hold me over until we got to the Alaska, hopefully.
"You did really well." Carlisle told me and nodded.
"It'll get easier, but it will take a long time. Just stay focused." Jasper told me, and I nodded.
"Thank you." I told him, and he nodded.
We ran back to the house and everyone was there waiting, but they were laughing and talking about their hunt.
When it was time to leave I rode in my Camaro, Emmett in the Jeep (with Jasper's Tesla on the back attached with a flatbed trailer) , Rose in her Mustang, Carlisle and Esme in his Mercedes, Edward in his Volvo, Jasper in the BMW, and Alice in Esme's Porsche. Emmett was behind me and Carlisle and Esme were ahead. I had my phone plugged in and I was playing Panic! through my speakers which was blasting might I add. After a few hours of driving I felt a small burn in the back of my throat, which came with being a vampire, so I could ignore it. But, I wasn't used to it coming back so soon, that was due to my body switching diets. We had to pull over for gas 4 times on the entire trip, and Alice had planned it to where no one would be around when we were there. It was genius really. By the time we got there, I was hungry. I parked in the front of the house and got out of my car.
"Let's go inside and I'll show you your room." Carlisle told me, and I grabbed my backpack from the car and followed him inside.
He showed me my room and it was so open, and the light shone inside. You could see the forest on the other side of the glass walls.
"Do you like it? Esme did the designing." He told me, and I smiled.
"Thank you." I told him, and he nodded.
"I'll let you get settled." He told me, and I nodded.
When everyone was done unpacking Emmett and Rose spent time together, as did Jasper and Alice. Edward, Carlisle and I went hunting, not because they needed it, I did. Badly. Esme was working in her garden.
We ran into the woods and I got nervous again just like last time, but I tried to shake it off. I spotted a Caribou and I pounced before it could react. I ripped into its throat and winced at the taste. It was bland, but I forced it down, every last drop. I released when it was empty, and it burst into flames leaving the corpse to ash. I drained 2 Caribou, 3 Bison, and 2 Black Bears. We ran back to the house and I ran upstairs to my room and changed into a blue Volcum shirt, black Volcum jeans, and black Nike SB shoes.
I was looking for a hoodie, but I couldn't find one.
"Hey Alice." I said, and she was in my room and she opened a drawer from under the bed and inside were hoodies.
"Here." She told me, and she handed me a black hoodie with a Nike checkmark on the front.
"Thank you." I told her, and she just smiled.
"Anytime." She told me, and she skipped out of the room.
I walked downstairs, and I saw a piano sitting in a room. I walked through the entry and ran my hand along the keys. I pressed a key and a beautiful sound released from the strings. I sat at the bench and pressed the right sustain peddle lightly. I began to play and 'River Flows in You' escaped onto the piano. I stopped playing after the song and when I looked up my family was standing there and they all looked surprised.
"Looks like Edward isn't the only pianist in the house." Rose said, and I knew it was to get under Edward's skin.
"You play beautifully." My mom told me, and I smiled.
A few days passed, and I was officially going through withdraw. I could not stop thinking about blood. Specifically, human blood. I was sick of animal blood. I yearned for pure O Neg. The cravings were getting worse and I was in desire to satisfy my need.
I was sitting downstairs in the living room with Emmett and Rose who were cuddling and watching a movie. My parents were off at their new jobs, Edward was with Jasper and Alice looking at cars, so I was here with Emmett and Rose, which I didn't mind at all.
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a car pull up outside. My siblings looked to the door and I heard the engine turn off and a door open, there was a knock.
Emmett got off the couch and went to answer the door. I stayed put.
I held my breath, but I could feel the humans heartbeat and it was pounding in my ears.
"Hello, My name is Parker. I live about 10 miles South, I just wanted to welcome you and your family here." I heard the man say.
I felt my thirst increase and I clenched my jaw. I could picture myself ripping into flesh. Venom filled my mouth and I let out a growl.
"Get a grip." Rose told me not audible to the human upstairs.
I was in so much pain I let in a small gasp and regretted it immediately. The scent flooded down my throat and to my core. I snarled. The thirst was driving me up a wall, I couldn't contain myself I wanted the blood so badly.
"Fight it." Rose told me and I whimpered.
I had to fight it. But, I didn't want to. The pain would go away so easily if I just gave in. But, I didn't want to be a monster. I couldn't.
I balled my hands into fists and the electricity ran up and down my arms. I sent pulses throughout my body and it helped, but holding the thirst was getting harder and harder. I sent the biggest shock through out my entire body and I fell to the ground gasping. The man finally left and drove away and Emmett closed the door and he walked back into the living room. I felt myself calming down, but my thirst was not going away and I swallowed my venom.
When I was upstairs I opened my bedroom door and walked in. I opened my deck glass door and sat on the edge of the balcony.
I tried to concentrate and think of something other than my thirst, but it was all I could think about. It was anything and everything I could think about.
"Silus, you okay?" Rose said from the door and I shook my head.
"Can we go hunting?" I asked her and she nodded.
Emmett and Rose took me hunting and we started running deep into the woods. I started to track a bison and felt my mouth filling with venom and my control fading. I attacked and bit into its neck and the blood flowed into my mouth. I liked the taste better than before it was more gamey. After 2 bison, 3 mountain lions, and a bear I was full. We headed back and when we got there the rest of my family was there.
"We need to have a family meeting..." My dad started and everyone sat around the big oak table.
