The moment Leo was crowned Nohr''s king he shut down all the negative feelings that brewed deep within his heart. For he felt that his country wouldn't survive had their king been worrying over such trivial matters. He promised himself on the day of Xanders funeral that he would find a way to live up to his brothers grand expectations. That he'd do all he could to better his country and it's people.
At first the task of restoring his home had seemed impossible, yet with the help of his people, Brynhildr, and the Hoshidans his hope was restored. The once to large task was now not so meaningless. As the land began to bring forth throngs of fruit, apples, oranges, grape! In no time at all Nohr would thrive like it had so many years ago.
The mere thought of children seeing war, or experiencing it first hand was enough to bring tears to his eyes. Leo never wanted another big brother to lose his little sister ever again, and so he dedicated himself to peace, he'd work late into the night doing paperwork that would ensure Nohrs alliance with Hoshido was long-lasting.
And so, for the sake of his long gone sibling's memory, Leo did his best to be a wise and good king. Still yet Leo could never bring himself to enter Xander or Elise's rooms after their passing, much less have it cleaned or emptied.
Attempting to hide the sins of Nohrs past king, Leo himself destroyed the very throne that Garon sat on. And had his servants destroy anything Anankos related, he also sealed off Garons old room with a powerful spell.
He might not have been very welcoming before his sibling's deaths, but now that they were gone, Leo made it very clear to Camilla that she was always welcome at Castle Kruckenberg. He even had his maids clean her room weekly, but nonetheless, Camilla never returned.
Not that he blamed her however if he could he would've fled this place and never returned. Still, it didn't stop Leo from longing, he wished Camilla would at least come by to visit... She always visited her dear Corrin in Hoshido, so why couldn't she visit Leo in Nohr?
Perhaps it was because of the fact that Leo never showed Corrin the same, genuine hospitality. The reasoning behind this was petty, he deemed he undeserving, no longer was he his brother, merely an acquaintance instead he was a fragment of a much happier past.
The only time Leo talked to him was about his country any other attempts at conversing was quickly shut down.
There was no point in fixing his broken relationships, no point in trying to bond with Camilla, everyone left they were all gone. His title was true to its word. King Leo of Nohr was all that remained of the Nohrian lineage, everyone else having left him for dead.
