Vaike & Owain Supports

Chapter 1: C Support

By Mr. Kite

Owain walked down a dirt road. Near the camp but a distance where no one could hear him. He was off doing his daily sword training. He gripped the handle of his sword. "A foul sense hangs in the air... My sword arm throbs dully! Hngh?! Wh-what's this? Blood...raging! ...A different sort of blood rage than usual!" Owain shouted. At the very moment, Vaike came walking up to his theatric son.

"Owain? Everything all right?" The Fighter questioned. Owain stuck out a hand, stopping him from getting closer.

"STAY BACK, FATHER! You mustn't come any closer!" Owain shouted again. Vaike could tell something was off with his son. Something more than usual. Vaike grew more and more concerned for his son.

"Why? Did ya catch somethin'? You think you're contagious?" He tried rationalizing and understanding what Owain was trying to say.

"The blood of heroes that courses through my veins hungers for fresh prey! If you draw within striking range in my present state, I cannot guarantee safety! I beg of you, stay back! Do not force me to topple my own father!" Owain stated. He grew more and more frantic. Vaike just simply scratched his head. It wasn't working. He couldn't understand Owian.

"...Er, I'm confused. Are you under someone else's control? Wait, did someone curse ya?" He was completely lost.

"Aye, the curse of my bloodline's uncontrollable power! IT GNAWS AT MY SOOOOOOUL! Hnngh... D-down! Down, I command thee! Be calm, sword arm! Stay, raging blood!" Owain hell his "Sword Hand" from grabbing his trusty sword; Missiletainn. Vaike began to freak out as well. Thinking of options to do.

"All right, Son, just stay where ya are—I'll get your Mother!" He suggested.

Owain's eyes widened. Lissa would simply yell at him for being himself. "Wait, MOTHER?! Er... Heh... That's not...strictly necessary. This pain is nothing to a man like me!" He declared, but it was of little use. Vaike ran off. Owain felt an all too real pain in his stomach, knowing his mother was going to get involved. "Given a moment, I'm sure it will abate! I've weathered far worse than... Er, Father? ...ACK! Did he actually go to get Mother?! Suddenly I don't feel so well…"
