Her voice's strained. Panicked. A high-pitched, nervous shriek that jolts him out of subconcsiousness and into the clearing fog that is dawning reality.

He doesn't mind, though.

Even if his head is throbbing painfully.

Even if the blare of the hospital's lighting does burn his eyelids.

Even if his entire body does feel like it's been beaten with a pipe.
