Author's Note: I don't own Fruits Basket. Written for a request for Hatsuharu x Kisa made by a fan of Fruits Basket Manga Series on Facebook. ;) So, here's my horrible attempt at a Hatsuharu x Kisa fluff. ;) This takes place when Kisa starts going back to school, after the whole bullying thing.
Haru stood outside of Kisa's school, waiting for her to get out. He had gotten into the habit of waiting for her at her school, then walking her home. He had managed to convince himself that it was for Kisa's protection from the bullies, he really didn't want her to lock herself away again. His presence did work at keeping Kisa's bullies away, most of the children her age tried to avoid Haru, because they found him scary, as they had said.
Kisa walked out of the school with the rush of kids. She smiled when she saw Haru, and ran over to him. Haru smiled, as he hugged, "Anyone I need to beat up today?"
Kisa laughed as she shook her head no, she really wasn't sure if he'd actually go after anyone, but she didn't want to risk it with the stories she heard. She climbed onto his back, and he started to carry her home. The two of them talked about random things, but never about the curse. The two made it outside of Kisa's house rather uneventfully, and Kisa got down off of Haru's back.
Haru bent over and picked a flower, before hugging Kisa and handing her the flower. Kisa blushed, and hugged him back. Their hug ended when Kisa's mother called for Kisa from inside the house.
Haru waved, and watched as Kisa sadly entered the house. He began to walk away and wondered if he'd be able to protect Kisa any better than Hiro. His doubt, because of the curse, was the only thing keeping him from telling Kisa how he actually felt about her.
