Chapter One
It was a beautiful day in Lavender Town. Jake Del was walking down the street and was feeling the eerie feel. Jake was five feet tall, and weighed ninety pounds. He had black hair at neck length with a blue cap. He had on a blue t- shirt, with a black pair of jeans. His running shoes were gray. He had a black book bag slung over his shoulder. The town had a less eerie feel than before, when they had a tower dedicated to dead Pokemon. Thankfully, they replaced the Pokemon Tower with a Radio Tower. They moved all the bodies either underground or in the House of Memories.
He was heading to the Pokemon Center where he was getting his first Pokemon. It was a day after his tenth birthday and he was ready to compete in the Pokemon League, with his partner at his side. He saw the red roof of the Pokemon Center and felt his heart pounding harder.
"Nurse Joy?" asked Jake as he reached the counter.
"Yes dear?" replied Nurse Joy.
"I am here for my first Pokemon."
Nurse Joy nodded and went to the back. She returned with a tray with two Poke Balls. "A young boy already picked a Squirtle."
"That's okay. I choose Charmander." Jake took the Poke Ball that had a sticker that had the name 'Charmander' on it.
"Good choice. Here is your Pokedex and five Poke Balls." The Pokedex was a light blue color. Jake Del accepted the Poke Balls, and put them in his bag, while he put the Pokedex in his pocket.
"Charmander come on out!" said Jake as he released his Pokemon. Jake took out his Pokedex and the Pokedex spoke Charmander's Pokedex entry, "It has a preference for hot things. When it rains, steam is said to spout from the tip of its tail." The Pokedex spoke in a monotone, adding that it knew it Scratch, Growl, and Ember.
"Would you like to participate in the Pokemon League or the Grand Festival?" asked Nurse Joy. "I would like to participate in the Pokemon League," replied Jake.
Nurse Joy took his Pokedex and a few seconds later he was ready for the Pokemon League.
Jake went out of the Pokemon Center, and went towards the west towards Saffron City. He was heading to Kanto Route 8, where he hoped to find some new Pokemon. He looked around, and saw a blonde headed girl with a green skirt with a white blouse.
She walked over and said calmly "I have to train for the Saffron City Gym, would you please train with me?" Jake nodded his head as he took out his new Pokemon.
"But I only have one Pokemon."
"Huh, I'll be at the Saffron City Pokemon Center. Once you get a second Pokemon, come and meet me there. Then we can have a battle." The girl walked off towards the direction of Saffron City. "What's your name?" asked Jake suddenly.
"Tina."
