My second story. I tried to put in as much detail as possible, I hope it turned out ok! I spell checked it and re-read it too many times to count, so any mistakes that remain are mine and mine alone. I don't own anything except the Character I made up. If I owned Pirates, I wouldn't be here. I would be talking with Ted, Terry, and of course Johnny about Pirates 4. HAPPY (almost) DECEMBER 18th!!!! SWEENEY TODD SOUNDTRACK!!!
The rich warmth of a typical Caribbean day was gone, replaced by depression, anguish, and raw sadness. The sun's rays could barely pierce through the dark, dank clouds which cast ominous black shadows everywhere. The waves were a sinister black, releasing their endless fury as they mercilessly crashed on the side of her ship, rocking it in the harsh wind.
Every day held that same consistency, at least from Antoinette Moineau's point of view. She hadn't been the same since he, her love, her life, had gone. Taken to Davy Jones's locker by the Kraken, a fierce beast of whom all sailors come to fear.
Ever since that fateful day at sea, life had lost all meaning to Antoinette. Pirating had no point, sailing had no point, life had no point.
She stood at the side of her ship, leaning over the railing, immobile. Her honey blonde hair blew across her face as the wind howled savagely. Her deep, icy blue eyes stared into the distance, overcome by tears. Every once in a while you could see her blink, and you could barely tell that she was breathing.
Inside her sorrow-filled mind ran memories. Far too many to count. Memories of him. They were rushing by, flashing by. Good or bad, each one made Antoinette long to hold him again. To see that smile again. The smile that used to bring so much happiness to her once optimistic self. To see it again would be heaven, heaven on Earth.
Antoinette doubted this, though, she felt like she was in the deepest circle of hell. Nothing, no feeling at all was worse than this. She was rotting, wasting away here. She had no point in life, no purpose.
Antoinette used all her strength to haul her thin, weak frame up to stand on the rail of her ship, facing the never-ending ocean. What a beautiful view it was, but it had no significance to Antoinette. She merely saw darkness cascading over the vengeful waters.
She clutched onto a nearby rope as she turned; now facing her ship. The rope was the only thing holding her upright, the only thing keeping her here.
This view held the same sensations. Nothing changed, nothing ever will. Even so, Antoinette searched the ever-stretching horizon one last time for something, anything, that would remind her of what life used to be. Finding nothing, she let go.
As the last rays of sunlight vanished from the horizon, Antoinette fell back and let the black depths of the ocean envelop her, washing away her senses until only her lifeless body remained, sinking further and further into the dark abyss.
Ok, you read it. Now REVIEW!!!!! Tell me what you think. Good, bad, so-so. Comments, suggestions, anything!
