It's Your Way
"Will you keep it for me?" Shouji asked his girlfriend.
The carabiner.
She wondered... how can this be important to him that he entrusted the item to her?
Then she remembered the day that they first met at the Tokyo Tower...
He held her hand to save her life.
After several days she found out that he will be training them at Bokuto Station.
He has a higher rank than she has.
One day at the cafeteria she found out that there is no food left and asked everyone present if anyone could challenge her to an arm wrestling for food.
Only Shouji accepted the challenge.
Natsumi has been known as the "Amazon" of Bokuto Station, and has never been lost before.
But for the first time in her entire life, she lost.
And it fueled the rivalry between the two.
Everyday in every moment all of the officers have witnessed all the challenges going on between them, proving to each other who is stronger.
But deep inside, a challenge between the two of them is building up.
A Sunday afternoon destiny came in their lives and gave them the opportunity to know each other better.
Days went by the officers noticed that the two rivals were getting along lately. They even go out together.
But when the time that they are enjoying each other's precence, their profession began to tear them apart. Shouji Toukairin has to go to the Himalayas.
And then they realized that the are actually falling in love for each other.
They professed each other's feelings at the Narita Airport and even shared their first, long kiss.
It was really hard for them, but life goes on.
But in their hearts, they know that there will be a time for their love.
A year came by, and at the Bee no. 1 incident, destiny came back as Natsumi found out that Shouji will be finally home.
They than officially have each other as a couple.
It was really nice, but Shouji has to go back to his original station, in Toyama. It will be a long distance relationship.
Before he left to Toyama, he asked Natsumi a favor.
To keep a very important item, a carabiner that saved his life at the Himalayas.
Why? Both Natsumi and the carabiner saved his life.
And after thinking of all the memories that they had, It really is time.
With the possession of the carabiner, they will be officially engaged.
And she says...
"I know it's your way... of course I'll keep it."
And they shared a kiss and said goodbye.
They are not sad, however because it is not the final goodbye.
