"Tropical locations aren't the best places for a creature like Smilodon." Tangath Toborn smirked as he traveled through the jungle named the Forest of Life. "He'll be easy prey to sniff out."

The forest was hotter than usual making the place feel like a sauna. The heat would make anyone sweat bucket fulls of water but a creature with so much fur like Smilodon must be pouring out waterfalls. Tangath knew it was only a matter of time before the big fuzz ball gets a heat stroke.

An odd circumstance to think about. A creature like Smilodon so far away from his home and with Tanagth Tobaron, who shouldn't even be in Perim anymore, trying to kill him. It would be odd if Smilodon was Smilodon, if Tangath was Tangath, and if the location they were in was the real Forest of Life.

Smilodon was actually a dude named Finn, and Tangath was really a girl called Anna. They were both just Chaotic players turned to these creatures to play a death game in a simulation made to look and feel like the Forest of Life.

True to Anna's word, she quickly picked up Smilodon's scent in the air. In the humanoid-lion body, she navigated her way to Finn while trying her best not to make a sound as she got closer to her prey.

She had him in her sight.

Finn looked like he was barely able to stand. His fur was in a mess and he was breathing so hard he looked like a dog on a hot summer day. He was walking along a path towards her with some kind of weapon in his hand. Anna didn't recognize the battle gear which made her uneasy, but this wouldn't be the first time she has had to fight something she didn't know.

The battle gear looked like a pink shotgun, so it was most likely for long range attacks.

Finn hasn't sensed her yet.

If I can just hit him at the right spot at the right time then he will be code. She thought. But I have to do it soon.

Anna Knows Smilodon has a good sense of smell too and any minute now Finn could pick up Tangath's scent. Good thing the wind was blowing towards her.

Just a little closer. She creeped through the foliage to get in the perfect position to attack.

Then something out of the corner of her eye moved.

It was too quick for even Tanagth's reflexes. Anna knows she is probably going to be coded for this slip up.

A gigantic venus fly trap had her in its jaws. It most also be poisonous because she can feel the poison spread to her whole body within seconds. It was some kind of paralyzing poison.

Well shit. She might be able to get out but only if. . . .

"Hello there." Finn said.

Finn doesn't see her trapped.

Anna looked over at her opponent and saw him smiling with his weapon pointed at her.

Well no way out of this one. She thought. What to say now?

"You" she got out before Finn blasted Tanagth's head, coding Anna. Finn could only guess Anna was about to say something nasty.

"I'll just hear her finish what she was saying back in the drome." Finn said as the Forest of Life vanished around him into code.
