I wrote this looking back on it now, forever ago it seems. Way back when I had just started reading Fruits Basket but still before I began to broaden my manga horizons. I don't even think I had ever watched any anime before this either. Fruits Basket was my first anime…I think. Anyway, I wrote this while I was at home trying to figure out what I wanted to write about since I had this desperate urge to write about something Fruits Basket and I looked up on my wall, and there it was. My ink painting picture of Rin in the darkness and this poem hit me. This was the first fanfic I had ever written and though it was unintentional, I think it was good and finally decided to post it. And without further delay, I give you my very first tribute to Fruits Basket, and all things manga. Please enjoy! Rin
Lost In Thought
If I do not seem down to Earth
It's because I'm lost in my thoughts.
I'm dazed in a maze that is my past,
Reliving the pain that was.
In order to protect those I care for.
To give them a better life in the now.
So they won't ever have to be,
Lost in their thoughts like me.
