Change, and not a moment too soon.

The Doctor stood in front of the TARDIS considering himself.

He hadn't really had a chance to before, and the drug was now clear of his system, so he was thinking with a more logical mindset.

The clothes looked quite good.

A little shorter perhaps, but a lot of escapes might be easier.

The hair wasn't quite as wild as before.

Yes, this suited him quite well.

"Mel, give me your honest opinion, how do I look"

Mel looked up from the book she was reading "Pretty good, a lot thinner" she considered. Putting down the book she stood up and went for the door "I'm going to do half an hour on the exercise bike, want to join me"

"But Mel, I..." the Doctor stopped "You mean you're not going to force me?"

Mel frowned "You seem pretty fit, not so chubby" she looked slightly defeated "Guess we don't need the exercise regimen anymore"

The Doctor waited until she was a good way down the hall and another few minutes after before letting out the biggest cheer of his life. No more exercise, no more comments on his weight, and most importantly - he thought with unrestrained glee - No. More. Carrot. Juice.

When he had regenerated into his last body, he'd said 'change, and not a moment too soon'

But this was even better.
