Kyou didn't like her. He never had.
When the girl they helped moved in with them, he pretended to like her. It was because his arch nemesis liked her.
He knew Tohru. Too much, perhaps. He knew that she wouldn't choose any of them for fear of breaking their heart if she did.
But when someone else by the name of Hatsuharu came into the picture, he had to take action. He just had to, no matter what would happen later.
After all, kiss is a verb.
