I rolled my eyes at the continuing whining spouting from my best friends mouth. Ino always had a way of grating on ones ear drums with her shrill voice. She loved the blonde but man could she talk!

"Ino – Ino I heard you the first time! I get it Kiba is a prick!

"He told me I was fat Sakura! Fat! The nerve of the-"

"He doesn't deserve you Ino I've told you before-"

"But I love him! I've given him everything and he throws it all away!"

"Oh Ino sweetie come here."

I took the bumbling young woman in my arms as she continued to sob. Rubbing circles on her back I couldn't help the anger I was feeling towards the dog handler. Ino loved Kiba with all her heart and he was trampling on her feelings. A jingling noise comes from the front door and I watch as the lock is turned and the door opens revealing my other half. I smile gently and the dark haired man just nods before walking to our bed room. Now there was a man who knew how to treat a woman despite his quirks.

"Saku-Sakura that's not the only reason I c-came here."

"What is it Ino?"

"I-I'm pregnant…"

"Ino…that's great!"

I hugged Ino tight to me as she only cried harder.

"Wait Kiba doesn't know."

It was a statement from what she had told me before she and Kiba were broken up. She leaned back from our embrace wiping the tears from her eyes.

"After what he said I was too upset to tell him!"

"You have to Ino he deserves to know."

"I want him to be with me for me not because I'm carrying his child!"

I gave the twenty-two year old a look of understanding as I heard a door creak in the hallway and quick footsteps coming our way.

"Mommy!"

"Asako you're awake."

"Uh huh I wuv you and I wanted to say hi to you and auntie Ino!"

"Helle sweet heart," Ino said brightly gathering the dark haired three year old in her arms for a hug. Asako wrapped her little arms around Ino's neck as she closed her green eyes in delight.

"Sorry Sakura, Ino I couldn't keep her in the room."

"Daddy!"

"It's okay honey." I said leaning up for a chaste peck of the lips from the ANBU captain I loved with all my heart. Asako now out of Ino's arms came and layed her head on my swollen stomach.

"When is the baby coming mommy?"

"In a few months sweetie."

I gave the dark haired man a look of mirth as I heard a chuckle come from his lips. All of our eyes went to the door as it banged open and a panting Kiba stood there a look of pain on his face.

"Ino! I'm sorry I don't know why I-"

"No Kiba it was my fault!

Ino sprung from the couch and ran the short distance to fling herself into his arms. I could hear their whispers and then a crow of delight from the man before e pulled Ino into a kiss. I stood up and snuggled into my husbands arms as my little girl wrapped her arms around my legs. Shikamaru placed one hand on my stomach and the other on Asako's head as we stood watching Kiba propose to Ino in front of us.

"Took him long enough," the shadow-user muttered under his breath drawing a laugh from me.

"I wouldn't talk Nara it took you forever to propose to me."

"It was troublesome Mrs. Nara but I'm glad I finally did."

"Me too."
